My philosophy is, 15-21 rounds of 9mm in a 6" circle is more effective than 6 .357/.44/.454 rounds in 'minute of grizzly'

Ditto - I've actually decided that when the knee heals and I start hiking again, I'm carrying the full sized / duty sized 9mm with +P. More than 6 rounds in the back country is good and loaded it weighs the same as the 357 w/ 6" barrel. I'd like to sell the 357 but can't bring myself to it.

    Taurus 6 something. 686? It's a Smith Clone from the mid-80's.

I had an old Nazi SA Brown Shirt Dagger "Ulles Fur Deutschland" that was a war prize some GI brought home from WWII and my dad got as a kid. Wife was worried about it being in our house, someone breaking in to steal our stuff, finding it buried deep in a box of sh-tuff in the storage closet, and judging us for being racist neo-Nazi's. So I traded it for the revolver in about 1994 at the George R. Brown Convention Center Gun Show in Houston, Texas. Gun was LNIB when I got it. Added Hogue grips and a holster and been rocking it ever since. Probably put all of about 400 rounds through it in that time. Now 357 is getting hard to find and the polymer 9's are getting so freakin' good, as well as the performance of 9mm ammo - hard to justify the heft and ammo searching time and prices. Ladies and Gents, it looks like 357 is becoming an oddball caliber. Sad because that revolver is as much fun as you are going to have with your pants on.

Anyone looking for 7.62 x 39 ? I found a bunch in my garage and I sold my AK a while back

Ive got around 80 boxes of 20 rds.

Cheapest x39 on ammoseek is 42 cents per round, how about 30 cpr / $6 per box?

Buy it, I'll grab it. Then it will give me a reason to head south. Possibly for the trail clean up in February

I'm gonna have an extra set of KAC micro back up irons in a few days here. Thinking about AZTW discounting one of the sets. One is gonna be brand new, other is used and shows signs of a screwdriver being used to screw the mounting screws on (gasp!!)...

Any interest? Figure the used ones will go for cheaper, but both under the eye watering MSRP.

They seem too good to be true.
How would you say they compare to a Colt or Springfield for fit finish and function?

That question is above my pay grade, but I'm pretty damn happy with the fit&finish. And no failures in first couple hundred rounds so far.
