    Get-R-Done, people!!

I don't remember if I shared my past experience with small (4 cylinder) turbocharged engine failure, so since that's our current poll, I shall share my experience.

I had a 2014 VW Passat TDI, I bought it brand new in November 2013. I never even so much as changed my own oil, as I got a complimentary "required maintenance" package from the dealership when I bought the car. This was while I was living on Long Island, New York. I bought the car as a daily commuter for school. I lived 42 miles from the law school I was attending, and my Dodge Cummins was just not too practical of a commute vehicle. Not to mention, that in NY, all pickups trucks are registered as "Commercial", and commercial vehicles are not allowed on the parkways and older roads that I needed to take to my school.

So, the Passat was completely unmodified in any way.

At just around 7,000 miles, the turbo grenaded, sent oil and shrapnel through the intercooler and into parts of the engine. Had it towed back to the dealership... took them about 2 weeks to fix it, and of course fully covered under warranty.

I left NY in August 2016 to return to CA. Sometime around late 2016, the turbo again grenaded... same story. This was with just shy of 80,000 miles, and 3 years life on the car.

A former co-worker of mine, back in the very early 2000's, also has more than one turbo on his VW TDI's blow up, so it wasn't just me.

In my opinion, the tiny little turbos that are designed for 4 cylinder and smaller engines, have way too fragile internals, and I will never, ever trust one again. I don't care what kind of engine it is on. My Cummins had a turbo, but it was much, much larger than one for a small engine. I put 142K miles on that truck in 15 vyears, before I sold it, and never once had any turbo (or other engine) issues at all.

The plays don't decide the game, it's the calls and the optic opinion of the game official do!

It ain’t for gambling purposes. It’s for the real money. Ad revenue from the networks. Jerry Jones taught the NFL how to capitalize by having parity between the small cities and the big ones. Everyone having a chance keeps all the fans interested. No more dynasties. The refs are encouraged to keep things fairly close. Not necessarily to throw the games.
