    Hey.
    Me again...

    two inquiries.

    1. Snoqualmie Pass. What time of year is it generally free of snow and ice? Yea, gotta make one more moving trip up there and that's the route. I just dont want to do that in a Uhaul...

    2. Vancouver, BC. The city. I have an opportunity to spend up to a week there. Late April, early May. How much is there to see and do in the city proper? We would try to use public transit/feet to get around, so no rental car... If we stayed the full week, would we be bored by the third day?

You could probably hop on a ferry to Sydney and Victoria over on Vancouver island for a couple day trips. Victoria is pretty cool.

Theres a trail over on the island that Im itching to hike... West Coast Trail. Permits will be hard to get.

I've got free night hotel vouchers I need to burn and since we're near Bellingham, thought this would be a nice trip to see the area. since DH is retired military, we can use base lodging for cheap in the US. So I figured I try to spend those vouchers on places we can't get cheaply (out of country...)

    Cuffs,

I know you asked about Vancouver. Which has a ton of things to see and do. But the last time we went, we went to Victoria and took the BC Ferry from Nanaimo to Tswwassen. Man what a treat. That ship put our Blackball Ferry to shame. Felt more like a cruise ship. Highly Recommended. We went when Butchart Gardens were in full bloom. Stayed in a nice hotel near the Empress.

exploring all of that area is def on the agenda. We don’t like to cram 100 things into 4 days. We take time to learn and explore each area in depth. I think Victoria and the rest of Vancouver island is its own trip.

I’m working a new itinerary. Fly to Seattle, hotel for 2 nights (free with vouchers). See some sights, maybe a Mariners game. Amtrak Cascades SEA to Vancouver, biz class. 3 nights (free with vouchers) in Vancouver. Fly home to Phoenix from there.
