You have a point there lol. What I've seen so far says the fall for the 2.7.

Can only hope that's what happens here. Rob the the "have to be first" crowd blind and then drop the pricing and markups when sales plummet in the next year or two. I don't know how anyone can make the math work purchasing a 24 Tacoma at this point. Competition is cheaper with better component options at stock now.

What’s MSRP on a limited or the markup on a 2.7 ecoboost going to though? Either way I would never buy a limited so I guess it doesn’t really matter

    You'll probably pay a mark up on a 2.7 Ranger, and get a $5k discount on 2.7base engine F-150.

I would look at a Colorado or Canyon before ever looking at the Ranger. I have never been impressed with anything about the new Ranger.

Lol at dealerships trying to upsell cars in this market. Vehicle sales are down. Interest rates are high.

Fair enough. Actually, if I were in the market, I would look at all of them including the Colorado/Canyon. I do like that beast of an engine that GM has. If it proves to be reliable it will be a big winner.

Complete opposite. I would look at the Ranger Raptor >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nissan Frontier > Honda Ridgeline > Ford Maverick > Hyundai Santa Cruz > Toyota Corolla > Honda Civic > Kia Forte > Jeep Gladiator, then maybe the Colorado or Canyon.

No one with any sense would pay that much money. Especially a first model year.

Job 2 in Ford world means basically then second batch so to speak of that production year. Usually job 2 builds will offer something that 1 doesn’t, or in recent years removing options due to parts availability. In the Ranger, the V6 was late availability for some reason I imagine.

I thought it was a word play on their old marketing slogan - "Quality is Job 1". Except it isn't. Job 2 is far too high a priority also.

Drag out the reveal as long as possible hoping interest rates go down by release time. No need for discounts....YET.

Alot of owners keeping their 3rd and 2nd gen Tacos and smart people don't wanna be Beta-testers for the new engine and platform. LOL

How many people are going to jump into a,new Tacoma when they are already driving a perfectly good truck? I know there are people out there who will, the numbers can't be that high. Current 3rd gen sales are very slow for new Tacoma sales. Economy, rates, most people who would buy a new 3G probably already have, and many buyers are looking to the 4G.
