Woah! Into this look. On their website I only see the prndl display and glove box inserts in bronze. Did you reach out to them directly to have these made in bronze?

Thats absolutely an exemption. I'd never stop anyone for that; however, lack of legal illumination on the tag, solid stop. Called those CSV, (chicken shit violations). Never cited anyone, sometimes lead to more significant charges.

A neighbor for 20 years is (was?) police. Was finally on a desk in the office which he preferred because relations had gone to hell under one president (I will not name, just saying) and was going to retire and move to Florida when he could. Nicest guy, even tempered, helpful. Almost could seem mean if you were expecting him to ask silly and he only was being friendly.

All it took was losing cell signal once, and I stick with my dedicated GPS unit. I can use Google maps for finding food or gas, once I get back to civilization. And paper maps are becoming a lost art - but still good for creating topo vinyl overlays!

Not to totally get off topic from the "what have you done..." thread but:
Leaving Phoenix Sky Harbor one time from the East Economy lot there was a hold up at the arm that lets one car out at a time. Eventually a crew came out to manually start opening the gates for us. They were nice and apologized for the inconvenience. Turns out, one explained, it was the system that the PD uses to scan tags. You drive up, insert your paid ticket into the machine, it reads your tag, and when it positively ID's you, it raises the arm to let you go.

I was shocked! I asked why they did that and she explained that if you were on a list, a team would be ready to interdict you as you left the airport.

So now I always Uber in. Price is about the same and they don't need to know.

Performance is good. If you dont want to spend over $1000 for a complete replacement then this is an economical way to go to enhance the OEM HU. The tech that I communicated with for firmware updates has a Tacoma with JBL.

All it took for me was having my dedicated GPS head unit take me to a non existent Wal-Mart and down several non existent routes. Unit was only a year old at the time.
I've had other small dedicated Garmin type separate units but they ended up being as big of a PITA so stuck with GPS head units......until I had to continually update it, which was even a bigger PITA.

Honestly I thought I'd hate Google maps. But in reality hooking it up through the Tacomas head unit and using it that way has legitimately been a better solution to our overlanding needs than either of the above; no updating, no need for anything separate, and even when you have 0 cell signal it still continues with your previous/current route. The only thing you can't do is stop the current route if you have no coverage, which is why the WeBoost interests me.

Finally had a dry day, so installed my Form taillights and Mountain Hatch tailgate cover. Didn’t take long to do both, the hardest part was trying to unhook the reverse light plug on the stock taillights. What a PITA! Seems others have had trouble so I don’t feel to bad. The Mountain Hatch came with 4 washer/bolts which I guess are for the ends or the bottom but the stock torx screws worked just fine. Really like how they both turned out.

If you know where the bolts go I would appreciate it.
