    Anybody know if you get a ticket from a speed camera if you have to pay or not? I know in some states if it wasn't issued from an officer you don't need to pay it

    you will need to go to court and submit a not guilty plea. most people pay it because their time is worth more than the fee but others fight based on principle. Just a heads up a "Not guilty" requires another scheduled court appearance

    When I lived in CO, no the ones set up by private companies weren't paid by people. Here, I don't think they have them set up that way. Esp. the ones in front of schools now. I don't believe they give you points for them but if you don't pay the fine, you won't be able to register your vehicle later.

    Where’d you even find one? Around here the only ones I know of are in school zones.

    Pretty sure you’ll wanna pay that one. If you read the fine print on the ticket it’ll state that paying the fine will prevent any points to your license and will not be reported to insurance.

    If you choose to not admit guilt/pay, and go to the court date you will likely be subject to points and insurance reporting.

    I may or may not have been in your shoes recently…

    That's probably where I was getting my confusion from. Read that in the CO thread a few months back and it stuck with me I guess.

    I think it was a school zone but wasn't during the blinking lights.

    Gotcha thanks! I'll go ahead and pay it tonight then, definitely not worth the hassle.

    @BYJOSHCOOK
    there are a few Dragon Eye cameras set up north/east of Atlanta. Dragon eye company is located in Norcross and they are about the worst laser to try to jam (ALP is the only jammer that does a good job) Since they are located in this area they provide their services to the police departments in the immediate areas. Most of the other areas around Atlanta use KA band for their speed detection systems. If you run an APP such as Highway radar, JBV1 (for android only) they have all the Camera alerts based on GPS so if you get close it will let you know to slow down.

    I would recommend you run some type of Radar Detector (not named cobra) or atleast an app so you can avoid any dumb tickets.

    Ive run some type of Radar detector or app for the past 15 years.

    Does anyone know of a local shop/person they’d recommend to perform shock/coilover rebuilds and servicing?

    I know there is/was a member in Alabama that did rebuilds but I have been unsuccessful in getting in touch with him.

    In case anyone is interested in a Quicksand Leer topper. I'm switching to a Super Pacific X1.

    If it's the guy I think it is, I think he went to jail. Might be a different guy though.

    Possibly. That would certainly explain the PM and text that I haven’t received a reply on :rofl:

    Really? I met that guy in person. Super nice. Given it was only one interaction but it was for about an hour and never would thought he'd be in jail down the road.
