Has anyone picked up the new High West Prisoner? I heard Houston just received a shipment of it.

I have honestly never had a pour, this is how this bottle came to be, was joking with Eric how I’ve passed on it numerous times so we finally made it happen.

I might have to pick it up tomorrow when I grab my Eagle Rare pick. I’ve never had it before, but I guess this would be the cheapest store pick I’ll ever see. I usually lean towards higher proof stuff, it’s hard for me to take chances on something lower proof. I picked up a bottle of Hancock not too long ago and didn’t like it, so I gave it away

Lol yes it does! Reminds me of the Sagamore Double Oak. Glad you were able to stop by and thanks for the MWND. Hope to try it Friday. One of these times we'll make it further than the garage and crack a bottle together.

Same price I got it for in Canada (after conversion). It's not bad at all. Bottle looks awesome and it's a good for drinking in the summer. Very light as Candian whisky tends to be.

I hope after breathing a bit it’s a better pour for you. I had a pour of this over the weekend as well.

Just got into it and it’s excellent! Flavors are a little unusual and hard to place, but really enjoying this now.

They have been pushing this hard at total wine. They had it at a tasting station a few months ago, and I thought it was okay. Those tiny little tasters don't really give you a good run at it. Is it worth trying at $50 a bottle?

I think it is. The ethanol was really prevalent in the neck pour and I wish I’d let that rest for 20 minutes the first time I had this. Sipping it now and trying to put words to the flavor. Buttery with a sweet but faint honey flavor, offset by a nip of spice, almost like the bite of cinnamon that comes with a chew of Big Red. Oak and caramel on the finish. I have a lot of trouble describing the nose, almost like fresh dough for a sweet bread.

It’s a complex pour, very good.

I’ve enjoyed the bottle I have. I’m probably half way through it, my buddy got it for me, so probably not one I would have picked up. But I enjoy it, next time I’m in TW I may see if they have the regular bottle available for tasting.

Another TW bottle that I’ve really enjoyed is Wolcott Rickhouse Reserve. Another cask strength bottle full of flavor at a good price.

Mostly stock, just getting it to my liking, just happy to have had the taco and now my 4Runner.
    Hello all,

Been a minutes since I posted up but ended up with some trade goods recently from some events, figured I’d give a try here.

So if anyone’s nearby in TN and is a fan of Sugarlands Distilling in Gatlinburg TN then maybe we can strike a deal.

I ended up with 5 jars of their new and to my knowledge only available in store Legacy Corn Whiskey by Mark and Digger of the moonshiners tv show, and 1 jar of Cole Swindells Punch.

I’m looking to restock my own preferences and would be willing to do multiple jars depending on the trade.
Below are what I’m looking for in 750ml and all are below $50 per Total wine price list, so let’s make a deal.

Mods if I have done anything out of order or against the rules please let me know so I can change to abide by the rules.

    Basil Hayden Toast Bourbon Whiskey

    Johnnie Walker Double Black

Blade & Bow Bourbon Whiskey with key

    Akashi White Oak Whisky

    Thanks for looking!

In all my life…I’ve never seen anyone get their hands on so many Weller FP SPs.

Lol, it's one of the few things I seem to get lucky with out here. Now Weller Antique SP? I've had one in the last 3 plus years.
