San Clemente is about an hour from Fontana using the toll roads. The drive from Barstow to Fontana is another hour. If we get to the water crossing at 9am, you should be in Fontana by 1030-11 and make it to San Clemente by 12 or so. The water crossing is so close into the trip I'm not sure if it's worth it to you to drive all the way out there and then leave 45 mins later.

I feel your pain. It sucks not being able to go at the last minute. Your wife better take care of you.

In previous trips, some guys have camped out behind KFC in a tent on Friday night. No one will bother you. You can also camp out in the Barstow off road area which is off to the side of KFC.

i'm looking foreward to your guys post run report on the trail conditions out there. my buddies and I are gonna hit it up 2 weekend from now, if i can get my truck ready to go and if the "dry" lake bed isn't too big of a deal to cross.

if anybody cant make this run and would like to run with my buddies a I hit me up, the more the merrier. i'm not 100% sure we are gonna go that weekend, but more than likely so plan on it. i'm thinking we gonna leave early friday, April 8 and make make thr trip back to cali saturday night.
