    Hello,

I have 04 5VZ with push button 4x4. Before my 4WD started to act up, it was working properly before I broke my passenger CV axle. I just replaced it with a new one and now my 4WD is not working.

    Here are more infos:
    - No 4WD lights when button is pushed. - T-Case actuator works (it spins when 4wd button is pushed)
    - Front drive shaft (between front differential and t case) locks when 4wd button is pushed but upon jacking the truck, it both front tires does not spin.

    Does anyone experienced this before?

I appreciate every single future comments.

Are the wires and connector on the A.D.D. Actuator in good shape and plugged in?

Start with disconnecting the connector and cleaning the contacts on the ADD actuator. Then if that doesn't do the trick I'd check the 4WD fuse and relay. If those all check out, your actuator will need to come out of the back of the diff and you'll have to inspect it to see if it's just gummed up or maybe will need replacement.

So I cleaned the connectors and checked the 4WD fuse and relay and still not working. I can only hear the t case working. I’ll drop the ADD actuator next.

That's not a fun task. You should be able to fish it out towards the rear of the truck. Removing the sway bar, unbolting the trans mount from the trans, and jacking up the rear of the trans can help create a window to squeeze it out of (over the steering rack and under the bell housing).
