Anybody take delivery of the 2024 Tacoma yet ?

Just curious, seeing tons of listings at four different Toyota dealers near my home but are trucks actually on the lot ?

Ok, thought I would update thread a little, yesterday my local Toyota dealer Bobby Rahal Toyota had three 2024 Tacoma's on the lot, one SL 2X4, One Off Road 5' bed and one Sport 4X4 w/ 5' bed. None of the three had extensive amount of options. I do know this, the Base SL 2X4 was $36K
The other two right around $45K.
If I buy one it would be a SR5 dbl cab 4X4 with 6" bed with the highest level package, this gives you JBL stereo, cold weather package with heated front seats, power sliding rear window, leather shift knob, heated leather steering wheel.
Universal Homelink Remote, wireless charger, LED Bed lights, Brake controller,
rear underseat storage, automatic climate control, and some safety features.
I would also add, spray on bed liner, exhaust tip and running boards.
The Sticker price for these options is just north of $47K.
Since I already have a 4R TRD ORP W/ KDSS I don't need a TRD OR Tacoma.
I would prob get the Blue Crush or Black with Boulder fabric.
The Hood Scoop on the Sport is really cool looking though.

 

Good question. I’d imagine there got to be a few people that already bought the 4th gen. Keep checking YouTube to see if someone made a video yet

Not sure how accurate the Allocation spreadsheet is but it is showing about ~2,400 24's as "Sold" of those only 13 are showing out of allocation as "Ground" or "Freight" shipped. Some show delivery dates from last week. Sooooo maybe? Many are listed as freight or ground in the available inventory. So they are showing up at lots, just slowly.

 

I was thinking "ground" and "freight" were different shipping methods. But either way, not many have probably been delivered and sold as of yet.

 

I see 12 more that are showing ground status. Ground should be when it is at the dealer. 7 of those 12 show dealer holds so I am sure they will be bought in the next few days by whomever reserved them. Called local dealers that show inventories online, all said no trucks expected until mid February end of March.

 

A lot of dealers like to show their allocations. Take a look a the VIN. If there is a letter in the last six digits then it has not even been built yet.

 

Ones that we are expecting that are built are sitting at the port in Mexico on a 45 day quality control check. So 45 days from 1/16 they should be release. Then on the boat for god only knows. So maybe March

 

I talked with our sales department today. We are expecting our first ones around 2/10-2/16

Some more on the ground in TX. GST doing GST things..... base SR5 for 44K after 2k of port add ons!

 

That's 6 grand more than I paid for my 16 TRD Sport loaded with tech package (non JBL) and tonneau cover.

 

Am I missing something here?

The carpeted floor mats.... manufacturer installed.

But the distributor is charging you extra for them? $275 for something that I am pretty sure is included with all new cars... SMFH

Also for anyone paying attention, GST is charging about $200 more for the blackout badges and tailgate insert then Toyota itself charges...

 

This one is in Richmond KY at Toyota South. Maybe if I get bored I will make the drive and go test drive it. Edit - Nevermind, it is a 4 hour drive.

 

There is a hold up regarding the EPA certification. Gulf States dealers may have them but nobody else does.

 

CA, KY, MI, OH, IN and TX have all had units listed for sale. The one in IN was confirmed sold. Why do you think there is still an EPA hold?

 

Sold, vs. delivered are different things. Thousands have been built and have been allocated to dealers, who have pre sold them. Thus they will be marked as sold on line. They just haven't been delivered to the dealers for buyers to take them home yet.
