I just recently completed finished replacing my head gasket in my 1996 Tacoma 3.4. I follow exactly the “Timmy the tool man” head gasket replace. I went to start it and the truck won’t start. I thought initially battery but replaced the battery. I had no issues starting it before. It’s making no sound at all when I turn the key like it would if it was trying to start. I hope it’s just a plug I forgot about but Any other ideas to get my truck started would be so much help.

Head gasket? Or valve cover gasket?

I don't see how either is directly connected to a "no crank" situation. Review all the wires you had to disconnect to do the job. Ground wires?

Head gasket. Full on take the engine apart and replace the head gasket. The only wires I disconnected was the wire assembly. Which is all back into place. I did also replace the radio and when I took it apart just now to see this was what was behind. I have the two small wire connectors but nothing to plug them into. And one bigger connector but nothing to connect it to. All the wires from the wire harness appear to be in place

Did the truck run after you replaced the radio?
or did you do the radio swap while doing the gaskets?

Also, do any dash lights come on with the key?
The clock work with the key on.

    Tell us what doesn't work.

Did the radio swap during the head gasket while waiting for parts to come in. I have power to the radio, headlights, interior lights and dash

Update* I got it started! Just needed to let it charge from a battery charger. But next issue fuel started coming out of this connection. I don’t think it was cross threatened when i put it on. Is there suppose to be a gasket or o ring in her? The fuel connection is up near the driver side in the engine compartment

    That's a flared fitting. No o-ring.
It works just like a brake line. Get it tight and it is good.
