Great news! Next I can say I knew him when he was just starting out. I can tell you that car clubs are where its at. Especially antiques and exotics have deep pockets. Need to get you hooked up with a Packard Club.

I'm working on the creatives for our event in June. We will be a fundraiser for Children's Hospital. Its really a good feeling to help such a good cause.

    Nice! A local one too

The real big organizations skim a bit too much off the top IMO

For instance, Wounded Warrior's Project and Til Valhalla Project are the only two I'll support; WWP had actually funded much of the extra commodities that went into the "recovery" camp back at the main FOBs

I was out of commission for almost 2 weeks, my friend even longer, when we were hit by a bad IED that flipped our truck; he ended up with a shattered pelvis so he was discharged only months later

But the TV setup, the Xbox, and the care packages coming in for morale were all done by that project

Til Valhalla focuses on the 22 per day lost by suicide; had a friend I served with take his life some years after we got out

I'd like to know where my money's going whenever I contribute, but damn it's so hard to tell nowadays

Wife did volunteering with/for this one foster agency, forget which one but I've got a shirt for it

With TLCA charities donate most all of the proceeds go to the charities. TLCA is a great organization that provides insurance for the events. Without them insurance would be cost prohibitive.

The dreaded 3.5 ecoboost water pump failure... coolant in the oil and she's locked right up. Great design ford.

I wonder if Toyotas new 3.5 TT engine has a similar design. They’ve been having some trouble with the first MY of it apparently in the new Tundras. Someone was telling me a tech told them to avoid it, at least until they work out the bugs.

It's a real shame because it's a really decent engine otherwise. It responds very well to tuning.

I don't know of any toyota with a timing chain driven water pump, they do belt driven ones sometimes like the VZ series engines but that's because the belts have a lifespan that's supposed to be shorter than the pumps anyway so you'll change both. Regardless toyota hasn't put one where any leak immediately cross contaminates with oil.

Very true, it's why the Mazdaspeed tuners are making a killing offering even OTS tunes for any Ecoboost equipped cars

Even the bigger names like SCT
