For what it’s worth, the shocks will not increase the ride height.

Truck looks awesome though! I believe it is the slope of the driveway. Mine always looks like the front is slightly higher when facing uphill on a slight slope/grade.

I did the same with the aux beam panel last spring really tidied up the engine bay. Only thing I did different on install is wired it to a seperate constant 12v switch so I can run my camp lights off it without the truck being on acc. It's still a single battery set up so I carry a little jump pack juuuuust incase now.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
My Taco is a 2017 so I immediately needed a firmware update for the touch screen to respond but this was because I ordered from Amazon Canada which did not get the updates before they went to retail.
The tech was responsive in about 1 hr and the update worked.

The module has both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality as well as Mirroring. I use AA but have not tested the Mirror function yet. The current USB connection is disabled after the latest update because the module links to the OEM HU through BT and Wifi although you can still use the USB in the OEM HU. The USB on the module will only be for firmware updates now I suppose.

I have only had it lock up 2x times but that was with the 1st firmware update about the screen. I have not had a chance to update to the latest firmware which uses the BT connection of the HU which most likely will resolve the situation.

Edit: I updated to the latest firmware and have not had a lockup so far.

When dad was a PoW at Stalag Luft 1 in '44-45, he was part of the camp vehicle maint crew. They actually had a truck that burned wood in a stove attached to the rear bumper. The smoke from the wood burn was piped to the truck's engine carburetor. The engine would then burn that smoke to make power. (No gasoline available)
Only about 3-5hp on a good day, but it was enough to drive at walking speed with a load of rutabagas in from the surrounding fields.
Enough combustible material in the smoke to re-burn under compression. I'm not a scientist, so I can't say if it was carbon atoms, methanol, alcohol, or what ???.

(Back in the US, dad NEVER let another rutabaga enter into our house. Ever! Hated them w/ a passion.)

Wow what a story to be able to share! My grandpa was the same way with rutabagas, I never asked why, now I wonder the story behind it. When I was younger I brought one to his house and he threw it out. Stupid teenager trying to be funny at the time instead of learning a story from a prior generation.

My Irish grandmother was raised with the late 1800-s attitude towards England ... cannot blame her. During WWII several neighborhood boys went to fight. Several returned earlier than one of them ... explained he was delayed because of his marriage to a British girl (it was not true, it was a joke). Poor kid could not even get her to explain why she would not talk to him. It was eventually worked out, but ...

What mount is that for your Auxbeam? That's the last missing item I need to do my Auxbeam 8 gang install. Any tips, etc on Auxbeam install? Looks great, Thanks

I used 2, 1” ram ball mounts. It is temp installed with double back gorilla tape so I can verify I like the position before drilling into the dash. I did make a small adapter plate to fix one of the ram balls to the back of the auxbeam then just matched drilled everything and countersunk the holes for the mount. I don’t have any real good pictures of the process or the finished product. I could always take some later if you’re interested

Got the front door windows tinted to match rears. The rear windows weren't actually tinted the way it was explained to me. Or was added on after the truck was built by the dealership. In any case the door glass and backlite all match.

Got her sanded down and topcoated this afternoon to match the rear bumper and sliders w Seymour MRO high soldis spray can flat/satin black after putting an industrial primer on them.. ready for winch mount and diode dynamics LED bar.. I’m also pleasantly surprised at how good the factor 55 dark gray fairlead looks with the flat black I almost went with different fairlead bc they didn’t offer black i figured it’d drive me ape shit not matching.. also decided to give Open Road 4x4 winches a try and with the tiny difference in price between its 9.5k winch and 13k winch with 218:1 gears and 6hp series wound copper motor.. loved the reviews I saw on performance and it’s not bad looking neither imo. So I went big bc the control box does relocate.. I read these are built in same factory as smittybuilt winches(I realize that doesn’t mean it has exact same internals as smittybuilt) during my research on the winch I wanted to get.. 13k is definitely overkill but I have it if ever needed is the way I look at that with $70 price difference in models. image.jpg IMG_9994.jpg IMG_9996.jpgimage.jpg

Really want to pull the trigger on this...but the lack of review, as well as this one review regarding audio has me hesitant.
