    Can anyone verify this?
“The largest tire for stock a 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma suspension is 265/7516 or 265/7017. Many guys have verified that these tires work with no rubbing whatsoever on our stock suspension.“
-Toyota Technician (noticeably new on the job). I thought I could go slightly larger without any modifications... Anyway, if this is the case then the attached would be perfectly suitable for my vehicle without having to mod, tune etc. correct?

No issues going from 16 to 17 inches.

I would double check if those 4R wheels will bolt up to your Tacoma. I’ve seen several posts on here starting that the new 4R wheels no longer fit our tacomas.

The ones she’s looking at are Semas and fit fine. The 2021 4R TRD Pro wheels are the ones with fitment issues, and they look slightly different.

This is from the listing. You think it may be inaccurate?

Not sure about the 4mm offset but I'm sure you will be better than -4. I did a lot of rsearch before pulling the trigger on such a large purchase, looked through about 150 pages on this forum for "Aftermarket wheels and tires on stock 3rd gens NO LIFT" and other threads like it. I changed my stock 16" steelies out on my base model SR to 17" Method wheels, 17x8.5 +0, with 265/70/17 tires. Perfect fit, no rub at all and sits perfectly flush to the fenders, maybe a hair of poke due to the aggressive tires I picked. If you have factory mudflaps, you may have to remove them. My truck didn't have any mudflaps, and I removed my air dam from the front bumper.

Also, im going to get an alignment done later today, you should if you upgrade to such a bigger different size tire, some people say don't, but im going to just to be safe.

Aside from the “more attractive wheel” I’m doing it for a slightly more aggressive stance. These wheels are 17x7 however. So, I’m hoping with that Nitto I’ll gain some neg. Luckily I don’t have to worry about air dam, doesn’t have one. Muds, yes. Thanks for your comments.

Also, check out Tire Rack. If you're set on OEM wheels, I respect that, but Method's are very nice, have a great lineup and you can get them for probably about the same price as 4 OEM TRD wheels are going to run you, if not cheaper. You might even like them more. I was able to get my tires shipped free from Tirerack and the owner of Overland Warehouse hooked me up with $200 off MSRP for a set of Method wheels, I asked on a FB page about what wheels to go with and he reached out. You can find good deals if you look. I was also able to reuse my OEM TPMS sensors no problem what so ever. My trucks build is in my signature. I also did it for looks ngl, makes it look like a TRUCK now, love it!

You will very likely hit the mud flaps on turns at speed or turns with bumps like going into a driveway. That is why I got rid of my Semas. Most don’t care that much or simply remove the mud flaps, but I’m a stickler on stuff like that. I refused to remove the flaps so I ditched the wheels. But I wasn’t a big fan of their appearance anyways, felt like everybody had those wheels.
