That is a very nice color combination (gray/black). Great look.

In that case you will want to mark everything very well because removing the parts can throw off your alignment do to the fact they are your lower alignment components. If your not familiar with them I recommend doing a little bit of surfing just to get a bit familiar beforehand to avoid any potential issues. Hope it goes well and keeps your truck working as it should for a long time.:fistbump:

    Hey Folks,

Did the AC Drain mod today.
Heads-up it’s super close to the exhaust system, but there’s a bracket that solves this issue with a quick zip tie.

    Kind regards,
    DenimDan

I did AC discharge hose mod after I bought my brand new Tacoma. But I install catalytic convertor shield from Miller Cat, ending of last year. I installed B&M Sport Shifter, and mud flaps from Tuff Skinz this month. Make my 2023 Tacoma "pretty!"

I’m anxious to find out how this product worked out for you. I’m considering this and comparing it to the other one mentioned on TacomaWorld. I can’t remember the brand name at this time.

An addition for use when exploring -

I've added load bars to the smart cap. I used 3 of them for effective support off-road mostly (these do not have the stoutest of 'feet') + better load bearing across my rack. - even though I am not a fan of carrying anything heavy or bulky on top while moving...

I used one size larger (longer) than that suggested for the taco smart cap and I did not have to do any cutting as I expected. -The tips clear the cap doors when open without issue.. (These are 1255mm or 49.4")

The purpose of this addition is to expand cargo capacity / space to use when camping for more than a day or two. - And to be able to carry larger things with the cap on... (e.g. my wife wanted to take this large 5'x5' framed 'thing' to her office - I mostly wanted it out of the garage! but it would not quite fit with the cap on; butt rode well placed flat on top!).

These bars will support my Mesh tray (Rack?) which I really like due to its low-profile (aerodynamic), light weight, lack of wind noise, and great availability of attachment points for whatever goes up top.

I've used this rack on other vehicles while back in AUS and it works great! - It is super light and suits even smaller vehicles. Perhaps it is not the best choice for the 'gram, but I really like how well these types of rack do their job.

It fits the taco and the cap very well fortunately - it overhangs just a bit over the cab and also clears all cap doors when they are open.

I know over-cab roof racks are popular on TW - but I do not want a rack over the cab. The designs are not that appealing to me and they do not provide for easy removal / re-installation as needed. I already carry sliders and the cap full time. I want to be as light as possible when not off road and things are not actually in use. - AND mostly, I do not like to wander off-road at speed with a load over the cab.

I did do a test fit with the mesh tray on the bars, but I failed to take a picture...
I did attach a Stock pic of my Mesh tray below.

As you may have guessed from the above - the bars will not be on the cap permanently. I'll may leave the 'L' brackets (I'll see how this looks) and install the bars (and the tray) only when bars or tray are actually needed.

I'm am thinking now that I may look a narrow thule cargo box (hopefully a used one) for additional locked storage - to store bedding, clothes, and other light stuff on one side of the tray leaving the other side open for other things.

I'm really struggling with getting a Smartcap or taking a chance with the new OVS Expedition cap they are about to release for half the cost...

When you live in the PNW, it’s in the middle of one of the rainy seasons, and you just get frustrated because you wash your truck and the next day it is dirty again, so you get lazy and wait until the next sunny day. This is what you get for being lazy. But today it is not raining, so, I am grabbing my bucket, soap and a sponge.IMG_1767.jpg

Anyone know if there is 2024 navigation update out yet or when it is usually released? My truck is a 2019 and I haven't updated yet. I didn't get Android Auto, all the cool stuff came in 2020. Lol

Took care of that seaweed that was growing out of all the crevices before the next rainy day arrives, tomorrow no doubt. Gave it a solid cleaning. If it could talk, I’m sure it would have said thank you.

Did you run the wire in to the fuse box and hook it up to a fuse that is dead with the truck off?
