VA inspector/appraiser will be out there tomorrow to check on the stuff we fixed. I could see this going a couple ways.

1. "Sure, looks fine. No problem"
2. "I'm a turd. I don't like that this house is 130 years old, and "to protect the veteran" i need to have a basement dug under it."

 

@DetroitDarin , I'm hoping that it goes as smoothly as a 'government entity involved' process can go.

I sold my Baltimore house last year. I immediately paid off my cabin with the funds. Was paying 3 mortgages to now NO mortgage, awesome feeling.

Dude has "24 hours" after his inspection to notify people. No word on if that's business hours. I don't expect anything good ever from anything even remotely associated with the VA

There is no rational explanation for doing that

 

My realtor met him out there and did the walk-through with him. The guy is in fact, NOT a turd! We passed. If everything else is lined up we can close tomorrow/monday at the latest.
