First time I ran it I did it on 33's. I did break my 4wd actuator and got stuck in 4wd low coming out. That sucked.

Since you've done the trail what would be the minimum recommended tire size and equipment be? Could a stock truck with armor go? Guess that's what people would like to know.

Based on the description I'd avoid this road and I'm fully skidded with sliders. Sometimes ya just need bigger tires. :crapstorm:

    Edit; I'm on 32s.

I know I know, don't count me out just yet.
Two weeks is a long time and the process is getting better everyday. I'll have to put the doggo up at a buddies? I don't think he had a good time bouncing around in Box canyon.. took him a few days to get off the couch.

I would say minimum is 3" lift on 33's and some armor depending on how much you like your under belly or panels. Definitely need sliders.

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
I am a solid 95% in so long as I can stay on top of the workload and classes without everything imploding, but I've been hanging in there so far.

Probably gonna be Saturday only for me for the same reasons above, so a good pin drop and start time will be appreciated lol

I think they are embellishing and making it sound harder than it is. I am sure it has changed since the last time I ran it tho. To me their description is making it sound like the Rubicon trail. It is not that. But we have some great spotters in this group. Maybe just not steven @radio1521 :boink:

Geez that description does make it sound intense! Deep ruts and ledges, kinda glad will be going down Carpet hill.
Dont count that Cobbler out either! If I show I'll have the fixings for some for the second night snack. That was so delicious, not sure id change anything either. We can vote on the fruit? Strawberry, Blueberrry, Rasberry, Peach? I'll veto Cherry..
Best spotter, Im comfortable following Jason! Looks like @KingOfTheNorth will be taking point on this one!

I will double check with Janet? I dont know if she was gonna be in town or not.. Might see if she wants to come and camp friday with us and then Hop in with Whit to go around the back and have a little hike adventure on the other side as they wait for us?? See if Whit would be cool with a sidekick before I ask??

Whit would defiently be down for Janet to jump in and roll with her. She really liked her and would love for some company on a hike and for the day.

Kali's not going to want to hit the trails with me for that long, so I'm leaving her and the mutt home.

That let's me pack lighter though and just take a cooler and easy shit. Might even leave the camp kitchen behind and go with wraps and whiskey for a night.

Depending on timing they make it around I'll see if Janet can pull another Arivaipa Canyon permit and they can explore the East entrance a bit?? I'll chat with her this evening and figure out what her plans will entail! They had a Ladies trip planned in the Chiricahua mountains.

I don't know about that. Did a trail with a few from the AZ Backroads Adventures FB group last weekend. I looked like a rookie with the clutch, stalled it out like 10 times. It was just embarrassing.
