Got the dreaded 219b code on my way into work. It appeared 2 blocks away thankfully. Got the code scanned after work. Not thrilled but this is the first check engine light this truck has ever had. So 11 years old and just went over 100k a few days ago. Ugh lol

Clean your maf. Replace your spark plugs. Possible O2 sensors. Check the y pipe gasket too.

P0219A Bank 1 Air / Fuel Imbalance detected. The air fuel imbalance monitor is designed to detect differences in the air fuel ratio between cylinders per engine bank. The test fails if the air fuel ratio difference per cylinder is greater than a calculated amount.

Imo I think it's stupid buying a first year model, you have no idea what kind of issues you may run into down the road. Might have no issues for 100k+ miles or you might be plagued with problems for 100k+ miles. Better to watch the guinea pigs and see what happens

I would disagree but my 16 Tacoma had its share of issues. The 17 has had zero problems.

Usually they'll have most of the issues figured out by the time the next model year comes out. A couple here and there maybe
