Yea, that’s what they run around here. Hence the reason I am keeping my 2016 Trail Premium with 56,000 miles. Only paid $37,700 for it and it seems crazy to sell it.

You can get a GX460 for that much.

I like 2023 GX! love the new one coming out even more. That's my problem. I like the latest and greatest model on just about everything.

Yeah, the GX550 looks pretty sweet. I'm anxious to see them in the wild being tested and reviewed.

Back to the OP, I find this to be beyond frustrating. It's been 8 months since the official
unveiling, even longer since we knew it was coming. In production, but still no EPA numbers.
I want to see the numbers on the Hybrid engine, mpgs, $, etc., but at this rate it will be
2025 before that comes out. I have a 2016 that is getting a bit long in the tooth.

Saw a video on the 2024 GMC Canyon compared to Tacoma. The the Canyon, similarly but
not exactly equipped was about $6,000 cheaper. But guess what, those are no where to
    be found either.

Sorry for the rant, needed to vent.

Just a quick impression from a couple of GX550 drives I watched.
I definitely prefer the way the center console screen is integrated into the dash.
It does not look like a pad bolted to the dash, which for the 2024 Tacoma IMO distracting and too Tesla toy-like.
Now I need to look and see if Toyota is configuring the 2024 TRD OR with all the goodies minus that larger screen.
I have a suspicion I am in a minority preferring a more integrated dash, so Toyota is probably going to configure a majority of the higher end trims with a larger screen.

The tan version of the GX550 is a great looking vehicle!
Too expensive for my budget, but still...

I started a thread dedicated to the GX550 to keep these other threads cleaner.

Looks like it got nuked. Mod must not have liked a GX550 thread in the 4G forum.

I don't think we're in the minority w/ the opinion of those huge screens ruining the flow of the dash. It's absolutely terrible lack of integration.

I like the GX too. First time I'm seeing it b/c I gave up on Lexus w/ their stupid touch pad on the center console to control the multimedia stuff. My mother has it and nobody in my family can work it well. I don't know who likes that system that's in the car market. It's not intuitive at all.

Anyway, looks like they ditched that system on these GX's ?

Yes, it is. But I am not buying anything until full details on the 6th gen 4Runner are disclosed, including trims and price. Hopefully official pics in May.

I'm just wondering why I can't get a manual access cab in any trim level.

The unknown reliability issues for a first year model are always a concern. Especially since I tend to ride my cars to death. I've had 4 in 22 years of driving, 2 in the last 18.

For 24 they replaced the Access Cab with the Xtra Cab and only offer the MT in Double Cab SR, Sport, and Off Road.

I am aware of the nomenclature change, but I still call it it a half cab. I'm definitely behind the times. I was just lamenting the fact a MT was not available in the short cab (cheaper version) Sr/sr5 as I was expecting it to be and am therefore not really interested anymore. I would get more use from the 6' bed than the extra 3 seats.
I am still more than a little salty that the world is basically forcing my hand to buy a CC or drive a damn Civic so I can still have 3 pedals.

Most likely the idea is that they don’t sell many of those cheaper versions with sticks because the demand isn’t there. Most base truck sales are for fleets and small businesses, where the manual transmission isn’t a selling point. Sucks, but the world is moving away from the manual

I am in the same boat, man! I was at the top of the list for a 24 Pro from the dealer where I bought my 17 OR. Between the crazy pricing and the questionable timeline, I gave up, too. I found an AT4X Edition 1 that had all the extras that I wanted and jumped!

Nice truck! I ordered myself an AT4 a couple of weeks ago. The test drive sold me immediately.
