Uncle sam is gonna give me my money back this yr so I ordered some new wheels (from custom offsets, prior good experiences w them)

    kmc 724 - 16x8 w/ 0 offset

Upon shipment there were 2 boxes from wheel pros, 2 wheels per box

2 of the wheels have a -18 offset while the other 2 have 0 offset. Upon le googling i can't even find a 16x8 in that size for this bore and lug size

I busted out the measuring tape and they all have 4.5 inch backspace on the nose... wtf? Are the labels a typo? Ive already emailed CO and dread return shipping so if its just a goof I'd be much happier.

Anyone ever experience this? Should i be measuring something else?

If both wheels are 8" wide and both have a backspacing of 4.5", then they both are +0mm offset.

This looks like a labeling error. The part #s appear to be the same, and most wheel companies use a part # system that includes the diameter, width and offset. In this case I see "68068600" in all four part #'s, so I would tend to believe that means 16x8" +0mm offset. I don't carry KMC Wheels so I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty certain that is the case.

Can you check the markings on the backside of the wheel and/or any barcodes or labels on the wheels themselves? Again, if you measured the rim width of all four wheels at 8" (they'll measure approximately 9" across from flange to flange, but rim width is measured inside the flanges and should be 8"), and you measured the backspacing at 4.5" for all four wheels, then I think you're good since a -18mm offset would yield a backspacing of 3.79".

Also, it's pretty comical in this situation that the box says "PRECISION FOR CHAOS." The labeling isn't very precise, but it sure did create some chaos for you.

Got a genuine lol outta me :D

I'd love some FN's but I'm gonna be eating ice cube sandwiches for the next few months as is :spending:

I'll get back out there and triple check again tomorrow, wheel stamps are a great idea - def didn't think of that

I did measure diameter/width and outer lip to outer hub and inner lip to inner hub for the backspace and they were all gravy

I'm also dreading possible non fit over the hubs which I've read about w some kmc, hopefully thats been corrected over the yrs

Should be stamped on the backside of the wheel.

 If for some reason those wheels don't fit or don't work out just contact me. We have some specials going on. Those KMC wheels do look nice though, so I hope they work out for you.

As for the brake clearance - carefully bolt a wheel up to one of the front hubs prior to mounting tires. Spin the wheel to check for any brake interference. If you informed the retailer that the wheels were for your Tacoma and the wheels don't fit your Tacoma, then you shouldn't have any problems returning them (as long as a tire hasn't been mounted). This is pretty standard operating procedure industry wide.
