Nice! Ive probably made ham lentils and cornbread 6 times the winter lol. Open Nature and Organics make a sold mix too.

My girlfriend immediately whips out her famous chili infused honey once the bread is out of the oven. Pretty good!

Funny you mention it, I revisited peas recently and I’m a huge fan. The dishes my mom used to put them really put a hard stop in my brain.

I still do not understand tuna fish casserole with crushed corn chips on top.

peas, lima beans, and brussels sprouts are a hard no for me. and baked beans, red cabbage and sauerkraut. and plain cooked spinach.
hated asparagus as a kid but like it now. and i cant eat just spinach but i do add it to a lot of things and its OK as long as its mixed in with stuff - like i put it in my lasagna and dont even know it there. and then my lasagna is healthy because it has a veggie in it!

Lasagna should not be healthy :p

I’m on board with no Lima beans.

Brussels sprouts are far different than they were 5/10/20 years ago. I’m still not totally sold, but many of the distinct “terrible” flavors have been bred out of them. You can search the science online.

I won’t address anything else because I don’t think we’d be friends afterward :pout:

 Lima beans aren't enough common ground?
I just remember my parents trying to get me to eat that stuff when i was a kid and i hated it. some it was the taste but some it was the texture - just couldn't do it.

Why are they dry when they’re covered in steam? Why does every bit of them stick to your teeth? Why are they shaped in the only way to inefficiently get a spoonful?

And the flavor. That’s an entirely new topic.

I think this is a keeper. Maybe just a couple of tweaks next time to perfect it for GF. As @Fargo Taco mentioned it took a while longer to cook than the 45 min at 350* that the guy in the video said. I did an hour and I poked a bunch of holes in the biscuit toppings once it crusted over - i think that helped to let some of the steam out and make the insides less runny. I wonder if it would help to start baking everything without the biscuit topping for the first 10 or 15 minutes and then add the top, get everything boiling away before it gets sealed up with the dough?
Anywho...its tasty and I went back for seconds! Yum!

And for those of you who dont do IG and dont want to watch the video I posted previously...

    Chicken Cobbler

    1 rotisserie chicken. shredded/chopped
    1-1/2 cups chicken broth
    1 tablespoon cornstarch
    1 stick butter, melted
1 can GF cream of something soup (I used Great Value Cream of Chicken)
veggies of your choosing (I did 1 med potato, diced, 1 stalk celery, diced, 1 small can corn, frozen carrots and broccoli, 1 bag each, thawed)
seasonings of your choosing (my version: sage, thyme, black pepper, garlic salt and paprika. about 1/2 tsp each or more to your liking)

1 box GF Red Lobster biscuit mix (toss out the box, we dont need the instructions)
    2 cups milk

Preheat oven to 350*. Add butter, broth, cornstart, soup and seasonings to a 13x9 casserole dish. Mix. Add in the chicken and veggies. In a bowl combine the biscuit mix and 2 cups milk. Pour the dough evenly over the dish and bake for 45 to 60 until biscuit crust is baked through.

My Pyrex dish was filled to the brim and I didn't have any spillage but I did have a cookie sheet on the lower rack just in case. The video says you can sub in Bisquick for the Red Lobster mix - assuming 2 cups dry mix? I meant to measure the RL mix before I added the milk but I forgot.

Chocolate cherry cookies. The middle is chocolate ganache with cherry preserves. Definitely chocolate overload, can barely taste the cherry. I think I should have put the preserves in separate and then topped with just a tiny bit of ganache. Still good for a random Pinterest find.
And the mug was from my TWSS in 2022.

this is the recipe. i used cup 4 cup for the flour, added just a wee bit more xanthan to the mix. the cookies are almost like a brownie consistency, pretty good but like i said i wanted more cherry flavor

did the chicken pot pie thing again. i reduced the broth from 2 cups to 1-1/2 cups and added a tablespoon of cornstarch to it before adding it to the rest of the mix. turned out better, less runny, but still took nearly an hour to cook.

What biscuit mix are you using? I’m surprised it doesn’t soak up more of the moisture.
