Still on the hunt for a <$500 5x8' utility trailer if anyone happens upon one over the course of the slow winter months

You speak the truth. When we were young she was perpetually sick...now I don't think she's had the sniffles in twenty years.. Her advice is wash your hands like it's your job

I gave up on that, I was looking for a 5k lbs-7k lb tandem whatver trailer. Car trailer would be good then I could just build sides and a full floor for not car stuff.

I guy I know was trailering his 20 footer to the ramp when his then girlfriend put his 4 fishing rods in the rod holders in the boat instead of the truck bed.
He got to the ramp and they were all gone.
He found 2 on the way home. :smack:

Unless you live in Newton :anonymous:

Not taking any sides and no need to go down that rabbit hole in discussions, but sounds like Newton is going to eliminate February vacation and there are talks of April vacation being on the chopping block.

Thats a pretty good ratio. When we go up I put them in the green kayak that has the cover. They get beat to shit so if I want to get better rods I have to figure something else out.

Yup, there are separate requirements for total hours and total days, which is why delays don't need to be made up but closures do. Most schools have more hours than they need but schedule the exact number of days, so they can absorb the hours lost in the delays but not the full cancellations. They also likely can't go past June 30 because it's a new fiscal year and you run into contractual issues with staff, busing, food vendors, etc.

I have a pretty strong opinion on that situation, but I'll keep it to myself as well.

I bought a Big Tex 60EC 16 ft Car Hauler a few years ago. It's got a 6000 lb GVWR, so I can put about 4200 lbs on it. Cost me around $3200. It works great for many things. Pallets of wood pellets are its most common use.

If you go that route, I highly recommend Lucky's in South Royalton, VT. They were awesome to deal with. Super nice people, no nonsense, and the pricing was fantastic.

It looks like the only ones I can find now are more like $3600-$3700 anyway.

I sold a 12' utility trailer for $2000 and used that toward the car hauler, so not much out of pocket at the time. Problem is, the car hauler is annoying and inconvenient to use for smaller stuff so I want something small and light like a 5x8 in addition to it. I like the DK2 galvanized multi-utility units since they have sides and look like they'd work well for something like mulch in addition to typical utility uses. Maybe some day.

I've been working on a trailer thanks to @mach1man001 for the deal. It was just barely too short for the kids atvs. Building a ramp extension on the front
