you can adjust the pressure from five psi to almost 40 psi simply with a small bicycle hand pump makes for any situation

I have tried a few different products with the squeaky set of OME and Icon and have had pretty good results with T-9
    https://boeshield.com/products/

After a few years now with the Icon RXT I wish they had an option 4 to install

I usually use B'laster brand because I can pick it up at O'Reilly when I grab engine oil, but almost any spray-able silicone lubricant will do.
https://www.amazon.com/Blaster-16-SL-Industrial-Strength-Lubricant/dp/B0019LV3GO Amazon seems to have it at half OReillys price though.

I have no idea why that didn't occur to me, How do you get it to stay? Little spray adhesive?

That's what I like about option 2 with air bags, the bags act as a helper bag instead of a spring replacement. Bags were to pop on the trail/road and I am left with just a slight squat. I get to keep my lift with a slight rake and carry some constant weight in the bed (toolbox filled with 100lbs of gear, high-lift, shovel, and fire extinguisher) when not using the bags. Then when I trailer anything or load up to camp I can pop 20-40lbs of air in the bags and go back to rake and it rides like a dream.

I use rubber silicone but cut some small drain holes before gluing it in. Silicone is great sound deadener and is easy to take off when needed

I put a video together once upon a time about this. I've done this mod time and time again, and personally had 100% success with eliminating squeaks on Icon packs. Definitely worth doing with the packs sitting on the ground to help save your back.

Long time lurker, first post here. Former F150 guy, switched to a Tacoma in 2020 and couldn't be happier. With that said, it's been a bit of an adjustment moving to a "little" truck.

I purchased a used cap (smoking deal on craigslist) for my 20 DCLB. With the added weight of the cap, it made the truck squat and the ride quality turned into garbage. I use my truck like I did my full sized, always hauling and pulling things that are probably way too heavy. With the change in ride quality after the cap, I set off to make some suspension upgrades to my soggy stock suspension. After reading EVERY thread on TW, I settled on the Icon RXT leaf pack (option 2) with Bilstein 5100's in the rear, and 5100's (4th notch, stock springs) in the front.

"Stock" height with the cap had my ride height at 35.5" floor to fender in the rear (20" hub to fender) and 35" floor to fender in the front (20.5" hub to fender).

After the RXT (setting 2) and 5100's (setting 4, stock springs), I'm at 39" floor to fender in the rear (24" hub to fender) and 37" floor to fender (22" hub to fender) in the front. I'm running Toyo AT3's 265/75R16 SL with 25k miles on them for those who care.

The truck sits much higher and rides wayyyy better than stock. It's awesome and I love it. Had you told me the day I bought the truck, I could make this change and IMPROVE the ride, I would have done it on the way home from the dealer. I've had this setup for 3 weeks now and havent noticed any negative side effects. Ride is better and gas mileage is the same.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for sharing your experience and guiding me through the process! Now I have to debate making the swap to 285's!!

I put the greasable bolts in my leaf pack, it took about 20 minutes per bolt to do the front and rear bolts on the leaf pack. It was a bit of struggle but not terrible, a bit easier than the initial install of the leaf pack.

It turned out the squeak was from the leaf pack itself, I would shake the truck and it 100% sounded like it was the bushing making noise. I had sprayed the pack with silicone spray so I had thought that was eliminated as a squeak source.

What ended up fixing it for me is jacking up 1 side of the truck and pressure washing the unloaded spring, so you can get between the individual leaves, then spraying Boeshield T9 on it.
4 months of no squeaks since I did that.

Well I bit the bullet and did the “inner tube” between the leafs thing.
I used an old HD tube from my motorcycle and some silicone grease.
Took about an hour, haven’t driven it yet… not holding my breathe.
These leafs ride nice but the noise is bullshit. I knew the risk when I bought these so I’ve got no one to blame but myself!

I’m pretty confident in my fix so I hope it works out for you as well!

I had some squeaking/creaking about a month after install so I sprayed it with Wurth HHS+, which is probably the best lubricant for this sort of thing in my opinion. It is very pricey but "Wurth" it to me, as it works great and creeps into tight places.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CG3ST17H?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Shortly after I noticed some rusting developing abnormally which I believe came from a recent large snow event here in the south. The brine on the roads probably accelerated it. I sprayed the hell out of them with Fluid film and now they are extra quiet.

So from my own experience Wurth and/or Fluid film will take care of most squeaks/creaks without having to take apart the springs, and both stay adhered for quite a long time.

I assembled my leaf pack with the innertube method from the beginning. I am still getting squeaks after.. I don’t know, four months installed? Recently sprayed a lot of fluid film, it stopped for a while. Going to spray silicone spray recommended here on the bushings next. Fluid film helped a lot, getting less noise than I was for sure and it seems isolated to the passenger leaf pack currently.

I switched from stage 3 to 1 after selling my fiberglass topper. I should have gone to stage 2, but was curious about ride quality at the lightest setting. They ride so much smoother than stage 3! Stage three needed 350lbs total before it had a smooth ride, and stage 1 is still a better ride when fully empty.

Stage 1 with 350lbs in the bed and a full tank of gas sits basically level. 23” in back and 22.75” up front, center of hub to fender. The back only squatted 1/2”, but the front also came up 1/2” with the weight in the bed.

Well that didn’t work… noise is still there albeit diminished somewhat.
So, next step greasable hanger bolts??? This is ridiculous!

Have you checked the spare tire? When I first installed my leaves I thought it was them squeaking but it turned out to be the spare tire wasn't fully tightened. Of course after a few hundred miles of gravel roads I got squeaks in the leaves as I mentioned earlier.

Or when you torqued the hanger bolts down was the truck still in the air or on the ground under full weight?

The spare is in there tight, I’m actually going to remove it and throw it in the back for a while just to see what happens…
Hanger bolts were torqued on the ground, full weight, checked, rechecked and I’ll probably do it again!
