What's the price on one of these? I was looking at the Soft Topper for the summer to have my dogs in the back, but would love something more permanent. 3-4k?

I was never a cap/topper fan until i got one and now i can never go back it was $3600+ tax its a ARE Z series has power lock, string lights that go on and off when you open and close the window, carpet, roof tracks, flip down sliding front window its one of their more pricier caps. I liked the look of this one this best how the back window is integrated and i really wanted a power lock. This is my old cap which i also liked i will miss the windoors which were not available on the Z series. Since yours is white you will find a ton of caps used on FB, i see white ARE caps from pest control tacomas all the time 1000-1500 they are just usually basic no carpet and often a side tool box which you can remove like the one in the link below search around you can find some deals especially on white caps IMG_5266.jpg

I just finally ordered my ARE MX with full carpeted headliner, front slider/fold down window, standard side windows with slider/screen, double rear door handles, roof rails. It came to $4022.00 with installation. The price also included a full bedrug as well. Pricey! My last MX was half that price about five or so years ago. Yikes! It will give us a nice hard shell camper though, and along with my BamBed boards and slider, should be good to go.

I have bam boards as well love em I keep 2x4 on each side when I’m not using it for a sleeping platform it gives me extra room to store stuff as I stained mine black so it acts as a “false floor” for unsuspecting eyes

Both reds go to any 15a circuit on the auxbeam, both blue wires for backlights go to any 5a circuit on the auxbeam, black ground wires go to inner upper fender bolt or any ground location outside the auxbeam using a ring terminal. You'll have separate switches for backlights and full ditch lights this way.

Had some time to weld some threaded bungs to hang my jerry can rmount, still need to finish fabbing the mount..the space between my spare tire hitch mount and the jerry can mount will fit about 2" more than a 35" tire..for future upgrade 20240202_171727.jpg 20240202_171052.jpg 20240202_171145.jpg 20240202_171125.jpg

Lights, stickers, audio, and a grille…
Well after almost nine years, and 127,000 miles, one of my license plate bulbs burnt out. So tonight after work I installed the Morimoto XB LED license plate lights. I was concerned about washing out the rear view camera with how bright they are, so I had the glare shields from @sphinxbccp on hand just in case. Sure enough, I backed down the driveway, and the glare was too much, so I stuck the shields on, so much better!

What made you decide to get rid of the mid rise?

I dont camp in it as often as i do so height is not as important, for the amount of times i go the cab height will be fine to sleep in. i also like the look better of the cab height vs the mid rise. I wanted a power locking cap as well was getting tired of 4-5x a day key lock/unlock, and the backglass and latching mechanism is just nicer on this Z series. I will miss the added height at times, the mid rise gave the truck a bulkier feel/look which is not bad but i prefer the cab height looks.

The black one looked good to but this one looks more gooder. Idk if it’s just me but it feels like the 2.7 is happy with extra weight in the rear.?.
