Not a Tacoma, but maybe someone can offer suggestions on my wife's 2020 RAV4.

I just went to move it and all of sudden it started to throw trouble codes and run rough. It's under warranty, but I don't really want to spend a day at the dealer while they sort it out. Especially since we haven't picked a new dealer yet.

These are the codes in no particular order.

    Secondary Collision Brake system Malfunction
AWD Malfunction 2WD Mode Engaged Visit Your Dealer
Pre Collision System Malfunction Visit your Dealer
Parking Brake Malfunction Visit Your Dealer
    LTA Malfunction Visit Your Dealer
    Check Engine Visit Your Dealer

They seem related somehow except for maybe the Check Engine Light as they mostly seem to involve braking. Is there a fuse that might have blown for some reason? Or should I disconnect the battery and see if that resets everything. Or, should I just call a dealer and have AAA tow it there when I can get an appointment.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

I’d visit a dealer, the car agrees

For real tho, if it’s under warranty let them earn it.

All of those lights will come on even with just 1 engine code. Has anyone just recently done any servicing, were something could have been unplugged? Check the gas cap?

I did the same thing when working on a customer's '19 Rav4, I unplugged the MAF sensor to replace the engine air filter, and forgot to plug it back in before starting the engine. Every light was on the dash, and it took clearing the codes and driving it (around 10 minutes) to clear all of the lights.

No, nothing. She drove it yesterday with no problem. I don't think she's got gas recently, but I'll check. I'll check the gas cap, but it's not likely.

I assume that a scan tool is needed to clear all of the codes or it it worth disconnecting the battery?

It was a little bigger than a tractor

I asked the guy who installed the septic if I could drive my truck in the backyard and he said over anything but the main tank was fine.

Yes, a scan tool would be best to clear the codes, versus pulling a battery cable. I would recommend going to see somebody that has a scan tool, so they can pull the codes.

Man, this dealership that did the alignment...

New tire got to my guy today, and when they pulled the old one off, I guess the kid on the tire machine was like "wow this is really bent, is this safe to put a tire back on?"

My guy sounded like he was ready to die when he called me to tell me "Man I'm really sorry, your truck ain't ready, we need to find a wheel for it". At this point I'm not even mad, and I just threw one of the FJ steelies out of the wheel pile in the back of the rental and had him do it that way.

I'll get pics tomorrow if anyone wants to see 'em, but man this thing is JACKED. My guy could NOT believe that they didn't catch it during the alignment, especially since he knows the machine they have checks for wheel walk. So he rushed it back to them with a wheel on it he borrowed from something else and had them align it again. He said he cut off the parts department at this place last year because they sucked so bad, and this was the last straw with the service department too. Don't ever fuck with the GMC dealer in St. J I guess.

Actually now that I think about it I'll have to get a pic to show you guys how good the powder held up, I didn't even notice the wheel got any direct impact until my guy showed me the leeeeeeeeeeeeetle babby chip in the center of the deformation. Hopefully once I find another alloy wheel my powder guy remembers the recipe. Color match shouldn't be too bad, the other 3 only have 1 winter on them and I did have him clear them, so not a lot of fading or surface damage yet.

Yeah anyway if you ever need a LEGIT collision shop in the NEK, hit up NEK Collision. John and Greg are the best.

Yeah, I spoke with them about space to... roam..... and one of those desks.

Yeah, thankfully everyone I've met there, is pretty chill. And the people I know that work there, say it's pretty chill, with little turnover.

    SuperBowl? When is that?

I've seen exactly 1 SuperBowl and that was enough.

How old is the battery? If it is original to 2020, there is a chance it's failing. I have seen situations where a not so great battery starts causing random codes and other issues due to some modules seeing low voltage.

I believe check engine will turn off AWD. Have you had a windshield replaced recently or bumper, or is the front emblem or front bumper dirty? Others are ADAS which is all one system (other than the parking brake, but could be connected)

Just to answer everyones' questions, battery is original but it starts fine. Nothing has been done to the car as it's her car and I barely get to drive it. It's at the dealer now and the service manager writer said they'll start looking at it in the morning, but it might be Monday before they figure everything out.

My wife drove it yesterday without a problem. It actually started up without a problem this morning but when I hit the brakes while driving into the garage all the warnings started. Weird.

I'll report back once they tell me what's going on with it.

I watch basically just the Superbowl. I watch maybe the first inning of the season opener for baseball because I'm a fiend for warm weather. Otherwise just about the Superbowl is it.

Cool beans that people there say it's low turnover. That's usually the last thing people talk to if it's a high turnover office.

I know you like to be on the road, ask about being able to work remote. I'm hoping my next gig is fully remote so when were told there's going to be a blizzard i can bomb down the coast and find a wifi campsite in the keys for a month or some shit. You still go to Texas a bit? Corpus right?
