Yea don't think I've seen too many tires that size on blowers. I will say my "redneck" tire sealant is working great. Held air all Sunday night and yesterday.

Hey that will cross to a Baldwin, but last time I got them the Baldwin was the same price.

My Kioti has that same filter on it......on the right side.
BUT it also has a 2nd filter on the left side.

On mine that 1st filter is the hydro fluid filter & the 2nd filter is specifically for the HST tranny.

    Just saying.....

That has to be one of the worst places for that big filter. I don't know if this one has another filter on the left side, I don't remember seeing one. I'll look when I get home.

In the meantime, I've been slowly putting my mini skid steer back together. Just gotta drive in the main pin for the curl cylinder/auto leveling plate where the bucket and forks attach. I have a gravel driveway, for big storms when the ground is frozen I'll leave the plow on my work truck. But it's been a warm winter, so plowing moves around a lot of gravel. I *could* make a steel pipe to slide over the cutting edge, but being a v-plow makes that a bit awkward.

So instead, I picked up an old Cub Cadet 44" (?) snowblower that's in decent shape. The plan is to use a 16hp Honda motor to self power it, make an attachment plate and pin it onto the mini stand-on skid steer. I'll have to grab one of those "snowblower cabs" to mount onto the skid steer to keep the blowback off of me, but that'll be easy enough. In the meantime, the hunt is on for an electric PTO clutch, a 13-16hp Honda motor (or brigss, I don't really care) and gather all the parts to self-power this thing. I'll also probably make it so it has about 6" of float and rides on casters about 1" off the ground to not throw all my gravel.

I've attached the original brochure for the skid steer, built in about 1986 and only made for two years. 500lb lift capacity on this little dude. I think I've posted it here before, but I'm just now finally getting back around to finishing up repairs on it to get it going again.

Fun fact, (that nobody asked for  ) I actually live 15 minutes from the main JLG plant. It's just up and over the mountain.

I actually did contract maintenance work there for a couple years. Also worked at Grove Manufacturing which was started by the same person.

Neat! It's too bad they only made these little buggers for 2yrs, makes parts difficult to obtain or fabricate.

Yeah I bet that little skid steer would be great for cleaning stalls & stuff in the barn!

All loaded up & ready to roll down to Georgia tomorrow to my buddy's house & do some ditches for him.
Yeah its a long way to go... But I go a long way for my friends. Lol

Here's my set up with the newer trailer.PXL_20240131_155207935~2.jpg

Mine's been out of order for awhile, but I'm hellbent on getting it back online this spring/summer.

It's top speed is a blazing 3mph, but it sure beats a wheelbarrow and shovel. Hadn't thought of that, might be neat to try!

son in law bought a low time Bobcat mini skid steer Mt100 i think. Spent over 3 hours trying to get the OEM oil filter off to replace and get the break in oil out. Had a look last night, had to take off the alternator and rad overflow bottle. Still no go. He'd done the stick the screwdriver through it, it ended up the diameter of a toilet roll empty. This morning I went back with a 3/4 inch square rod 2 feet long. Sharpened the end and wacked it with a 3 pound sledge on the filter rim. Movement! After 5 minutes it was off.
Brute force and ignorance prevails. He calls me "the blunt instrument" at times.

I really can't wait until mowing season.

I'm bored with no one breaking and having to fix shit...myself included.

Me and Puxtatawny are on the same schedule.

    here's one for you guys.

Towed the Mini Ex down to Georgia..... That new equip trailer I shared with you guys pulls like a dream. Easy to turn, back & pulls great with really good ride. Even at 80mph on the highway it never had a wiggle back there.

That was the good. Heres the bad:

These are surge breaks & the trailer is like new.

NO BRAKES!! Yikes!! Went thru the Appalachian & Smoky mountains with NO trailer brakes. That was hard on my super duty, but didn't realize they weren't actually working until a certain stop light that just didn't happen. Was aware of it the rest of the 9hr trip.

So after we got done with the project work at my buddy's: we checked the fluid its full. Checked the lines .. no kinks.
But the actuator isn't moving at all. That's 8K lbs back there with the mini on it & it should have moved for sure.

Its got room in the housing & will wiggle but zero for/back travel.

We jacked it up & the wheels roll free with no drag at all from the pads. Also tried to bleed it at all 4 wheels, got no air at all.

How about some input before I drive back thru the mountains with no brakes.

There is a master cylinder in that coupler. It must be collapsed/blown. They are pretty simple.
Gonna have to take it apart.

Could be rusted stuck somehow either the master cylinder like Kirk said or the brakes themselves. I had a trailer with surge brakes, they worked great………when they worked.
