Yessir. Great bottle. I've only had the 110.7 proof but I've heard the other batch/proof isn't as good

Eagle Rare or Weller SP are good options for a step up

How is this? Love their double oak. Need to pick up the regular bottle. And perhaps this too :) but just don’t see it here in NM. Gonna have to ask my daughter to go get this and bring it home for me on her next trip home!

After a few Old Fashioneds with Clyde Mayes, tried this BH Toasted bottle my buddy gave me. Actually a decent toasted bottle, very smooth and nice toasted flavor to it. I didn’t expect much from this bottle, as I’ve tried a few of the other styles at my friends house and didn’t care for them but this was ok.

And finishing the night with what I call a nice night cap/dessert pour - although, it’s not meshing great with the toasted barrel flavor I have after two of those pours. But it’s still nice for a finishing sipper.

    And it is fRYEday YO!

It's typical Peerless right now - good but maybe a little too expensive.

Their Double Oak and High Rye are markedly better than the rest of their lineup right now. But with about 3 more years of age, all their stuff is gonna be really top notch.

I never thought I’d be envious of someone who lives in California, but I recon I am a bit envious of way y’all get good whiskey for a fair price.

What did you think? I’ve got the C923 on my short list to buy if I find it again, but I’ve not yet had one.
    DAMN
Eagle Rare 10yr, Russell’s 10yr, Elijah Craig SB, maybe Angels Envy, or Four Roses SB. Bulleit isn’t really a step up, but there regular release is good and about the same MSRP $25-30 as BT.

Blantons and ER are pretty common at my local Raleys, Weller can be hard to come by for msrp. I'm in a slightly more rural area of CA though, Raleys is about the only place that carries anything good. I refuse to pay liquor store prices, he has everything including the whole pappy line up, but weller sr is $129 there, you can imagine the rest.

Edit: I will say I guess we're pretty lucky that regular BT is very common, I actually grabbed a bottle the other day for $19.99!
