Had some time to weld some threaded bungs to hang my jerry can rmount, still need to finish fabbing the mount..the space between my spare tire hitch mount and the jerry can mount will fit about 2" more than a 35" tire..for future upgrade 20240202_171727.jpg 20240202_171052.jpg 20240202_171145.jpg 20240202_171125.jpg

Well after almost nine years, and 127,000 miles, one of my license plate bulbs burnt out. So tonight after work I installed the Morimoto XB LED license plate lights. I was concerned about washing out the rear view camera with how bright they are, so I had the glare shields from @sphinxbccp on hand just in case. Sure enough, I backed down the driveway, and the glare was too much, so I stuck the shields on, so much better!

What made you decide to get rid of the mid rise?

I dont camp in it as often as i do so height is not as important, for the amount of times i go the cab height will be fine to sleep in. i also like the look better of the cab height vs the mid rise. I wanted a power locking cap as well was getting tired of 4-5x a day key lock/unlock, and the backglass and latching mechanism is just nicer on this Z series. I will miss the added height at times, the mid rise gave the truck a bulkier feel/look which is not bad but i prefer the cab height looks.

The black one looked good to but this one looks more gooder. Idk if it’s just me but it feels like the 2.7 is happy with extra weight in the rear.?.

No photos but I installed the Garmin Mini 2 dash camera with the Donger power adapter. Easy as pie.

I have the ARE CX Classic and love it. I had the LED lights installed and they are a blessing at night. My first shell was a Snug Top for my 1994 SR5 way back in 1995 and I have had a shell ever since.

Having two strips is a good idea. I went with a single strip and did a wee zigzag around the spare's access hole.
I too, was worried about crazy GA drivers not seeing me. Add to that, my topper blocks the high 3rd brake light. I believe that is illegal to do... unless you add one back.

Not really a zigzag, more a gentle sweep:

I went with the newer Fumoto which drains faster, in the past the complaint was that draining it would take 20 mins, the new valve (F133N with LC-10 F-Series Large Body Fumoto Valve with Long Nipple and LC-10 Lever Clip for M12-1.25, Gold ) takes about 7 mins.

@SeaDweller3T how slippery are they? I've been thinking of getting these and remove the predator steps I have but with my little ones (10 & 7) I want to make sure they can use it as a step.

I've had my OPT7 with amber turn signals installed for about a year now, using the install kit made it so much easier.

I did the one piece 48" length I believe. I used Velcro to hold it in place, has stayed in place around 1 years, easy to remove if I need to get space tire down.

I've got one on mine (full 48) and I love it. If I had a way to hide the cable I would have put it on the back glass above the slider and under the stock factory center high mount stop light. Kinda surprised that hasn't become a factory option.

Man, I’ve been painstakingly looking for a cap for my truck and I love yours. My truck is very similar, 2019 SR Access with SX package. How was the ordering process for you and how long did it take to get?

    BAMF front bumper.
    PXL_20240102_180848761.jpg

Instead of cutting the OEM bumper cover, I installed R4T bumper caps. Those, I painted with black trim paint, put a couple of coats of clear coat over it, applied the decals, and finished with a few more coats of clear. My first auto paint experience. Looks amateurish up close, but good enough for me.

I also already installed a Badland winch, but I don't have a pic of that yet. I had to install the Badland fairlead upside down, which has presented a puzzle for me to solve. I'd like to mount my front license plate, but the brackets that fit between the fairlead and the bumper stick out from there at locations that are already covered by the top of the Badland fairlead (because the top is tapered up, which, in my case is actually pointing down). I saw that Rough Country plate bracket that gets held on by the winch hook/rope, but I read in the comments to that product that the slot for the rope is narrow and with sharp edges, so it cuts synthetic rope. I'm stuck for a solution at this point. Any ideas?

I am more surprised that the 3rd brake light isn't mounted on the tailgate. Or at least an additional (4th) one.
The Hilux in Japan have them mounted there.
Toppers and cargo would be a non-issue.
(Unless the tailgate is down for long cargo and the cab mounted one is hidden by tall cargo. Can't win them all.)

If I had a camper / topper, I would get that split bar and run them vertically in the back next to the lift hatch / glass. That way you are 100% covered.

    upload_2024-2-3_7-54-30.png

I'm positive some idiot would find a way to rear end you still but at least now you have visibility to your signals all the way up to eye level and bright.
