Of course he's making less, that's the beauty of hitting the jackpot on a draft pick. The first 4 years are a bargain and don't hurt your cap space. Mahomes rookie deal was 4 years for $16M. If Purdy shows up next Sunday and follows up with another great year in 2024, get the checkbook ready for 2025. It will be hard once Purdy gets his next contract to pay him, CMC, Deebo, Bosa, Kittle, Aiyuk, Williams, Warner, Ward. You'll lose a few. Just like the Chiefs next year having Chris Jones, Sneed and others free agents. We are going to lose someone good.

I’d say impossible but teams change when players get paid, or injured. Even before Brock gets paid the O-line needs to be addressed as well as rentals like Chase Young and Logan Ryan.

 

After so many years the list of teams besides my own I’d be willing to root for has gotten shorter with each agonizing loss. Detroit dodged that bullet this time around though some older than I would say that this win was poetic justice for the ‘57 31-27 loss after a 24-7 halftime lead. Some can reset but others like the Rams and Cowboys are doomed for life.

 

Cheated? How? As for the bad call, I understand the frustration. It was a hold (the defender admitted it). But was it consistent with how the rest of the game was called and do you make that call at that moment?
