@AllTacosFloat If this mod day is one I could make, could I paint the new bumper there?

I'll probably be rockin the same look as your old truck for a few days with the cut bedsides and regular bumper.

Well thats good, amazing how well the pressure worked at pulling it up. Do you have that paint that we were talking about? The DTM stuff, if not I'll get some

I think I have everything for my bumper except for the lasercut parts. Still not sure how I am getting those made yet. A friend's work has a plasmatable, My work has waterjets and mills but I didnt pick up 3/8" plate, then there is always send cut send.

Lmk if you need any welding stuff.

If anyone is interested the Ultra4 class at King of the Hammers is this weekend, tomorrow I believe. I think you can stream it on YouTube.

For anyone that doesn't know what the race is, it's a mix of high speed desert running and rock crawling

I'm just doing the head gasket for now, cheaper, easier, and quicker fix to the problem. I just got most of the parts in to fix Brian's old truck and make it driveable again. Stephs car is falling apart so going to let her take the Tundra for a year or 2.

Thinking I'll do head gasket, seals, timing chain and maybe balance shaft chain. I think it can be done in a weekend but the biggest killer is money right now which should improve in a month or 2. My hopes is to have my tacoma done for the Jack & Jill or at the latest for sure done for the wedding

Added this to the op. I happen to have needed it for my inspection. Drew was right,, “ but they don’t know the laws”:frusty:

    MGL Chapter 19 Section 90
“Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, no passenger motor vehicle shall be operated on any way if such vehicle has the side wall or thread of any tire projecting outward beyond the outer portion of the fender or side body panel, unless such vehicle is equipped with four-wheel drive or is otherwise modified and intended for off-the-way use”

    540 CMR 4.04
“Every passenger motor vehicle under 10,000 lbs. (GVWR) , except four wheel drive vehicles which are equipped with tires which extend beyond the fenders or body of such vehicle shall be equipped with flaps or suitable guards to reduce such spray or splash to the rear and side.”

Yep. Dealt with a new inspector last summer with my 1ton...

    Idiot...
I find them. You should see when I try to get my Buell inspected...

If we are going to have obnoxious and convoluted laws, we should at least make sure that people are you know... KNOWLEDGEABLE...

I can't wait to leave this state

That's a little weird because I have passed with mine and I do not have mud flaps and my tires stick out about 3 inches from my fenders. I do know that yours are much more protruding though

It all depends on the shop. I've been passing without flaps for years and the guys there know I'm on small tires just for inspection
