Oh, good morning folks.

 

The team I work with spends a ton of time running interference for kids with ADHD and behavioral issues. I wish more teachers understood that if you cut a kid a break and spend time on personal connections, a huge number of discipline issues disappear and everyone has more fun. Plus, scores go up naturally without teaching towards the test (which just pumps up the scores as it damages kid’s educational experience).

His kindergarten teacher made his first year a living hell.

2nd round of storms coming through tonight.

So for us, when a winter storm hits, everyone stocks up on the trilogy: milk, bread, eggs. What do SoCal residents go to when the Pineapple Express comes through?

 

...they're good at that.

By the time the last one came through we ended up with 0.17" which, crazy at it may seem, was a record amount for the date (from 1938) but by no means a reason to break out the kayaks. Our next one hits Tuesday. If it floats the boat off the trailer in the backyard I'll take pics.

We buy the bulk pack from Sam's and never ran out, even during the height of all that stupidity.

 

My sister is a recent transplant to Oxnard, CA - two measly blocks from the angry Pacific. I’ll have to tell her those items will be in high demand.

 

That really is a nice area. Good weather, lots of agriculture.
