Isn't that what all the early 100s had? It's the same a340 they've been putting in everything forever

 

When did they get the 5? '03?
My 98 was fine.

 

Is it all 100 series or just early variants? Thought it was only early variants.

I'm not versed on the 100 series but I figured it'd be the same as the 4th Gen 4Runners where they had the 4 speed then switched to the 5 speed later on.

 

I drove a 4 speed LX and 4 speed 4R before getting my GX; I figured just for the heck of it cause prices were quite a bit cheaper.

Driving the A750 from a dead stop or cruising highway is where it felt largely different from one another.

 

Yeah I'm pretty sure they switch at some point. I don't know that it would make an appreciable difference anywhere but highway cruising with that engine though

 

Speaking of, you still doing the switch to the A750?

 

It was just something I'm exploring for others as a possible swap and harness sale. I don't really want an auto in my truck. If I did a swap on the Land cruiser it wouldn't be for a Toyota trans
