I can confirm this kit works great. I installed it a couple months ago. Pretty straightforward install. The only thing I don’t love about it is that it makes the front wheels poke out about 1.5” more than the rears.

I got 31” tires to fit with minimal rub at full lock(weirdly only an issue on the passenger side).

Others have also done the Daystar spacers and V6 coils to give it a little more lift. Once I figure out how to get more in the rear I think I’ll go for it.

Someone said I can stack a 3” body lift on top of 2.75” suspension lift. Is this true?

You can stack as many as your hearts content but once you go past 3" you upper control arm will hit your spring.

@5 Lug Fury so with just the 3” body lift it shouldn’t hit?

Oh sorry I read the original post wrong. Yeah you can have a 3" body lift and a 2.75" spacer. I thought you asked about stacking spacers lol. I will say with the 3" lift you'll have bumper gaps, you will need to extend the steering shaft, and extend you gas filler.

Hi all, figuring a few things out prior to my ReadyLift install. I’ve got a base 06 5lug with an A.R.E. camper on it with no helper springs or AAL.

Put some love into the cab and wheels, tires and spacer recently. It’s running well but I’ve got a ReadyLift kit waiting to go in (2.75 front spacer/1.75 rear AAL).

Currently stock with the front sitting at about 33.5-33.75” and the rear at ~34” unloaded with the A.R.E. shell on.

With those numbers, installing the ReadyLift kit is going to have me sitting high up front with about ~1” squat in the rear.

My question: how much should I expect the ReadyLift AAL to settle by (with camper on). Just determining the size of the additional AAL I’m going to put in when I do the ReadyLift.

Pics for attention and thanks for any input y’all can provide.

So our trucks have a natural rake (slightly booty raise) I found I liked it for turning. You could always order a spacer on its own and see if you need the aal.

Well that’s the thing, I think my leafs have sagged enough where I barely have any rake. If I install my RL spacer and the AAL, I’d be about an inch higher in the front than rear even with the readylift 1.75 AAL. I’m just wondering how much do we usually see the AALs settling by.

I would do the lift on both ends and if it comes out short you could either get a new leaf pack or get another aal. I've seen people double up on aals. Just make sure they're different lengths. There's short and long aals. It all depends on how stiff you want it and how much you put in the bed

With spring under rear ends, added leafs stiffen but lower the rear. Bags can both stiffen and raise the rear with less weight than aal or leaf packs. Sumos can also but while they don’t require adding air occasionally they aren’t adjustable. Great though if you neither need nor want adjustability, just stiffer and higher and they do come in a few spring rates.

    Hey im new here,

Im going to be lifting my 5 lug with the ready lift kit. Ive read up a lot on people switching out the rear OEM shocks cause they will be too short. is that true? is that necessary?

If so, will 4600 from a 6 lug work or do they have to be 5100? ive heard that both work but wanted to double check.

    Thanks!

With an aal they'll be too short. As for what people use for shocks it's mainly any shocks meant for 0"-1" lift for a 6lug. Alot of people will use the trd rear shocks (6lug 4600) as they are relatively cheap. Then there's the fox 2.0 and bilstien 5100s which are Thicker in diameter shocks. Just make sure the extended and collapsed lengths are good. There's alot of 5100 shock options

I just got my first tacoma and ready for a new suspension and lift. Im currently running a stock strut and shock. I have a 2WD 5 lug tacoma, and don't know where to start with the lift. I know there isn't really a suspension kit for 5 lugs. Ive been searching and I can't find anything to help me with. What I do plan on buying is the Bilstein 4600 Front and Rear Shocks, while also doing a 1.5'' front poly spacer leveling kit and the 1.5" Front 2" Rear Shackle Lift Kit. Hopefully this can be a small lift for the moment until I plan on getting the readyLift kit. If anyone could help me I would gladly appreciate it!

Anymore pictures of your setup? I like the way this looks. Curious what tire/wheel sizes and specs on the topper... trying to find one used is a nightmare for a fellow reg cab 5 lug owner here!
