That is a very pretty truck, but the gas mileage is bad enough with a V6, and I want a long bed...

First 2 nope, don't touch. Maybe the camera if you were reinstalling the stock head unit.

Stereo wise I'd take the sub box and sell it, as well as the head unit if you have the factory one to swap in.

You can give me those running boards, fogs, grille of course...and I'll add my fogs and grille with cash

If you need a new car, go buy a lower mileage Japanese SUV. Look to sell the Taco for as much as possible. Sell that stereo separately.

A newer vehicle is affordable if you do it right. Doesn’t need to be fancy.

The stereo is almost six years old and sometimes has electrical hiccups; I'll leave it with the truck...

There's no reason to rip that whole system out of the truck. As stated above, the whole system is about six years old and the head unit likes to shut off at random from time to time; I want to get a 10" or 12" sub if I get a new truck, and the one that's in my truck is an 8". I have been considering a 2018-2019 T4R...

The other day l stepped outside to seeing fire and smoke a few houses up, heard the fire trucks coming in the background. Haven't heard anything about it yet but pray if anyone was inside they escaped.

If you really have a Ridgeline, I bet you like it.
They have a lot of storage. And the center console is 5x as big as the Tacomas.

The refrigerator saga continues; the 2005 Whirlpool that I got from the landlady is now in appliance heaven, and the 2001 Whirlpool side-side-side is now having issues with the freezer side. The normal refrigerator side is working fine, but the contents of the freezer seem to be going through a freeze/thaw cycle with alarming regularity. I do not want to scrap the Amana freezer that I just scored because it is R-12 and comes from an era where such appliances last, and last, and last. Looks like the landlady wants the Amana if it works, so we're gonna plug the damn thing in at her house and see if it works, and I will scrap the Whirlpool...

The Toyota dealer basically replaced my rear brakes for free, so those are new; I was under the impression that I needed new brake pads. I had the front brakes totally replaced in September 2022 at 157K miles because one of the calipers seized up and destroyed the pad; I brought the truck in for an oil change this morning and was shocked when my mechanic told me that my brake pads had like 75% life left! That is just shy of 33K miles and my front brakes look great!

I will admit that I have been very hard on brakes in the time I've had the truck, and this is a record. I have been a lot gentler on my brakes in the last year and a half, I guess...

This happened at the Wawa in Chalfont, PA earlier this week and in my opinion it is proof of how much society is degenerating; @Stitchgirl90 and I were grabbing coffee the other night. We were waiting in line, and the teenage boy in front of us walked away from the county. There were two of them, presumably friends. Anybody else would have assumed he had completed his transaction as well.

I walked up to the register, and in a split second I felt an arm in my side and this prick saying "Hey!" as he tried to push me out of the way; I was a good three times larger than this guy, and probably 15 years ago, I would have knocked him on his ass. I said "sorry", but immediately turned to Amanda and said "asshole" in earshot of the guy. The rude teenager and his friend left without incident and got in a car that was parked at one of the gas pumps. Both the Wawa clerk and Amanda agreed with me that the guy was rude and I had done nothing wrong.

This in itself is not a big deal, but when you look at the bigger picture, society is degrading as stated above. People are assholes. They think everybody owes them, and they have absolutely no respect; I can only hope that if he tries to push someone out of the way at a cash register again, sweet karma bites him in the ass (or in this case, clobbers him in the face).

I blame poor parenting combined with social media! :luvya:

That's just one of those things that happen in life.

I would have just said, "Sorry man. You walk away. I thought you left. Jump on up there bubba"

Just laugh it off man. Evidently the kid was in a hurry.
Just back up and let him order so he can get the hell out of there and away from you.
That's how (most) teenagers are, they don't have much to care about. No bills, no house to fix, no worries in the world.
All they have to worry about is little shit, like some one cutting in line in front of them.

I took my mom's Nissan today because @Stitchgirl90 and I picked up a cooktop for her landlady. The house has oil eat, propane for the fireplace, and an electric stove. She replaced the coil stove with a smoothtop when the old one broke, and she has been less than satisfied with the performance of the new one; I came across this GE gas cooktop on Facebook Marketplace for $75. It works just fine, but the sellers were renovating their kitchen and got new appliances.

Amanda and I were going to the Lehigh Valley Pet Expo in Allentown, so we drove to Easton to pick up the stove since it was nearby. If it was a barely functioning scrap stove, I would have cared about putting it in the bed of my truck and leaving it in the open while we went to the pet expo. However, Amanda's landlady paid $75 (and gave us $25 for lunch) for this thing and I was more worried about it getting stolen than anything. I also didn't want it getting knocked around in the bed of my truck and getting damaged...

Snuck the Mustang out today for a quick spin of about 10 to 15 miles, usually the first drive of the year happens in March.
