It would be a better morning if Antwerpen Collision Center would have finished my truck.

 

It's down there getting a new paint job. She's gonna look fresh lol

It took me a little over 2 weeks negotiating the price but today I finally bought my 50th birthday present to myself. Honda estimates that the XR650L gets 52 mpg's so it should be a great weekday commuter and a fun weekend toy here on these backroads & trails.

Don't be discouraged, mine has been at Jones Junction for 4 months. Hopefully it will be completed next week.

 

Got quotes for ceramic coating and tint on my wife’s Grand Highlander. About 900 for 30% tint on all windows, rear door, panoramic moon roof and windshield strip. 700-2200 for ceramic coating, depending what place and brand.

Shits expensive but her car needs something… maybe I should try to ceramic coat her car… not that my truck turned out great… that could just be my trial run

 

Check out Sun-Stoppers. I had them do some tint on my truck. Great people to deal with.

 

Thanks, I’ll check them out. I think since 2 places quoted about the same, it’s probably reasonable…. The GH is pretty big and will take a lot of tint

Dude, I swear I saw you turning on Hopewell off 144 the other day around 3:05pm the other day. If it wasn't you, there's a guy that looks like you in the same company. I was in that gray 3rd gen in the left turn lane.

 

I'm only there in Hagerstown on Wed mornings. That's the only day I have to go to the main office.

My vote… do the ceramic yourself, spend the $2200 on a set of tires, lift and tint. Done and done!!

Any update on that power source for the dash cam?

 

wife had her car out today and didn’t get around to checking the rearview mirror for a port. No word from Donger either, I sent them an email.

I do have a hardwire kit if nothing else will work.

I have a bottle of the advance ceramic from Adams that should be enough for her car. I’d still need to polish it before the coating. That’s gonna be a long day
