I didn't want to add a forum post but it seems I am getting the runaround from Wicked Creations. Background info, it's 08 Tacoma with a Maxtrac spindle and is currently on a DK mid-travel kit UCA and LCA that fit perfectly and worked awesome but I wanted LT and needed to replace bushing and heims. I ordered Solo motor sports octagonal cam bolts to replace the stock ones. I also bought a Wicked Creations LT kit at the beginning of September last year. I got the kit a few weeks later. I ordered the LT spec coilovers and a jack skid kit at the end of September, and waited until Dec 14 to get them. Not unheard of besides the fact they told me two weeks later that they were ready for pick up. I Drove up to Wicked Creations only to be told they were not there so went home withhalf a jack skid kit and no coilovers. I drove up again after they said they had arrived in December. To save them on shipping costs, and get them faster than shipping. I got home to find I was missing the Top hats and reservoir mounts (they come with the LT coilovers). They mailed them to me after a bunch of emails in two separate shipments weeks apart.
I started to install and found the LCA sleeves have play around the cam bolts, the UCA sleeves are not quite aligned like they were pulled from a jig too hot so they warped, and the heim spacers are not the right size. I sent them pictures of my issues and they told me they are aftermarket that's why it doesn't fit. I sent them pictures of the stock parts not fitting and my existing DK kit fitting in the aftermarket spindle that uses stock sizing. They sent me 4 sleeves that seem to fit the LCA cam bolts and the incorrect Heim spacer again. They didn't send enough parts for the other side. They never addressed the UCA alignment. I asked to return the LT kit for money back, and they told me I can have $3k in store credit or they could help me sell the kit. I am not going to install a UCA that has alignment that they never addressed in the emails along with waiting for them to sell my kit to someone else before I get a refund. It doesn't make sense to install a UCA that can't slide a UCA bolt freely straight through without bending it or putting a hammer on it. Plus I'm double sheer so good luck to me getting it in without bending the bolt and getting the truck into alignment. I have now heard of similar stories from some local guys in San Diego having the same issues. I am going to start a CC dispute and will return the kit when resolved. They said they would ship everything but I wanted to help save time and shipping costs so I drove up an hour and twenty minutes away to get the parts. They have been talking to me by email but recently stopped. Am I wrong? I told them they must have sent me a 4runner kit with the sleeves and heims being wrong but they insisted they sent me the correct kit. Two very reputable local shops confirmed in person the kit must be for a 4-runner and that they could get me the correct parts but said something was wrong with the UCA. in terms of sleeves and Heim spacers I know the UCA and LCA are the same on tacoma and 4 runner but the bolt sizes and holes in spindles are different. see attached pictures

It sucks, I know I’ll get it resolved. I just wanted the kit to work. I guess I just needed to stick to my gut and stay with a DK kit like I originally wanted. At the time it was about $700 cheaper maybe that’s why I got it

I just picked up and installed a wicked creations 3.5” long travel kit on my 2020 trd off road Tacoma during their KOH 20% off sale. I sent a dm on Instagram to see if they had the kit instock and I got a response back shortly. I picked up the kit the next morning. I’ve since then messaged him multiple times asking questions and preparing for the install and all of them were responded to with a couple hours of not immediately. I asked about the spindle to heim adapters as mine was just like the one in the above picture. He said it would press in and seat once it was tightened, and it did without issues (both top and bottom). Additionally I thought I had the wrong sleeve inserts for the lower control arm rear bushings because they were larger diameter. I let wicked creations know and without issue he cut me two new bushings. Little did I know the lower control arm rear cam bolts have inner sleeves that can’t be seen until the cam bolt is removed. Lucky I had the tooling to fix my mistake and open the sleeves to the proper diameter for the cam sleeve. I didn’t have issues with the tie rod extension (only stating because dirt nation posted he had to cut his tie rod arms to get proper fitment). Additionally I picked up the double shear kit for the upper control arms, no issues, however the driver side has a large plastic square wire loom and I haven’t seen how any one has been able to cleanly reroute that out of the way so I left that piece of the double shear kit off until I see a better way to move the wiring. Also for anyone spectating this I would highly recommend checking your upper control arm bolt to see if it’s no longer straight which is a very common issue with these trucks for people who drive hard. That could also be why your bolt wouldn’t line up with the upper control arm. Easy way to check if your bolt is bent before removing it is to remove the nut and use a rachet to spin the bolt in place of the control arm wobbles the bolt is bent. I can’t speak to their coil over sales as I get all my shocks/coil overs from accutune to ensure proper spring rates and valving for my specific truck. I currently have stock sized fox 2.5 dsc coil overs on the truck until I receive the new long travel fox 2.5 dsc coil overs.
I hope this is of some help/reassurance if you decide to keep the kit or best of luck with the sale of it.

Thanks, Glad they resolved your issues. You are one of many people I've talked to about them having the wrong parts on the kit that you get from them from the start. My last email to them told me to "eat it". I hope you didn't smash the heim spacer into the spindle with as much gap as I have. My UCA bolt is straight, I took the kit and parts to multiple local shops and they all told me it was wrong.

I think you may have misread, all the parts given to me were correct. I mistakenly thought the bushing sleeves were incorrect but I was wrong. Yeah same gap and it seated very easily and even came back out on its own after I disassembled it. Again sorry to hear that for you and hopefully you were able to get the DK kit you wanted.

Glad to hear it! Did he look at the alignment on that upper control arm or say anything about the bolt not lining up?
