We had 2 weeks of winter this year, it was like 20 below zero for 2 weeks and 40 degrees the rest of the winter. Sucks because I got all this new ice fishing gear, new shack, new heater, new sled, new rods... got to use the rods twice. I put most of it back into the storage garage today :( Ill keep the basics at home and try to get out at the end of the month when the temps are supposed to drop into the teens again. Hoping the shores freeze back up, right now lakes have a good 7-8 inches of ice, but the shore is 1-2 inches of ice.

If past experience says anything, hell no. We got that same blast of sub arctic -20 deg weather a while back but have been in the 40s and 50s lately........
But that I virtually guarantee will change before spring. We've had many years with snow in late February and even March. Granted it doesn't stick around during those times, but it definitely happens, around here at least. We also generally have winter cold spells during those times as well.

Yeah, the HU definitely is lacking in power. I have replaced all of the factory speakers with Kickers also. I went with the CS series. Should I not run an amp with these? Not sure what the differences are between the KS and CS are.

    TIA

There's a Recall or TSB for the 3rd brake light seal replacement.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/breaking-news-3rd-brake-light-problem-solved.733074/

Mine has no leak but they still replaced it.

I don’t have them for my Are overland but I’ve been looking at getting/fabricating a set. Gives me an excuse to get the welder I’ve always wanted to have in my garage lol. But I’ve never noticed a issue in 25k

Ya, I probably should've just went full pack but for a couple hundred it's a vast improvement over stock.

What did that kit run you on price? And what was the total effective lift achieved, if any?

Bought on Amzn, shipped from ICON.
    $205. I think they've, since, gone up.
I was reading various threads on them before I purchased. Variable results were found. Some did and some didn't get the 1.5" advertised lift.
It gave me the 1.5" and probably another 3/8" with the overload.

I changed all fluids underneath yesterday... It was the first time as just hit 20k miles.

Manual transmission, front & rear differentials and the transfer case.

All plugs cooperated reasonably. No stubborness. The transmission plugs were both only lightly torqued.

The fluids looked good. All still golden colored. I had the typical sludge on the magnetic plugs as seen here on TW.

My most surprising drain was the transmission. It had some very fine suspended 'glitter' visible with a very bright light shining on it.
    See here:
    20240202_175438.jpg

I am using a bucket and liner cause someone broke my drain pan gardening (???)

I replaced the MT fluid with Amsoil gl4 Mt oil. It did not feel ant different...

Mobil one gear oil for diffs, and Toyota Fluid for the transfer case (I found it on sale cheap!)

I'm glad y'all are having a "warm" winter, our winter has sucked so far. Much colder, but somewhat less rain. Can't wait for spring!! Hope you do get to do more ice fishing, I've had friends who lived for ice fishing.

I'm in Wake County and was thinking it's been a pretty average winter so far. We are a little ways apart and you have the wind which definitely make a big difference. Or maybe my NE Ohio upbringing gives me a different perspective. After 32 years you'd think I would have adjusted. I usually judge the seasons by utility bills. Did a propane fill up (80% of 300 gallons by law) in Nov and still have 35% on the gauge (135 gal used) so that is a little more than typical but not much. Or maybe I'm just getting senile.
    *I hope I didn't just jinx myself.
