4th Gen Tacoma (2024+)

This the 55mph speed limit from the early 70’s. I’m sure plenty of old timers here remember those days based on the desire for drum brakes, unsliced bread, and leaded gasoline.

 

55mph speed limit is coming back! Only economical way to reduce energy consumption. Same reason they did it back in the 70s. Drum brakes will be back also, don't need much brakes to stop from 55. Mini skirts would be nice too!

 

Truck looks awesome in person, just saw it through a closed bay door at the dealer. Best looking midsize out there no contest.

Can’t wait to actually sit in one

 

Does anyone know if the needle bearing is still used?

I disagree. Fuelly averages what a bunch of random people report with no standardization. Do Tacoma drivers drive the same as F150 drivers? Maybe, maybe not. You may not get what the EPA estimates but whatever percentage you are off would be the same for any vehicle you drive.

 

I really like the look of my 23 ZR2, but had I seen the 24 Taco and it was available 6 months ago, no contest, the Taco with a 6ft bed will be in my driveway next year. Going to wait for best deal and 2nd year.
I didn't realize how much I would miss the 6ft. bed, 5ft just doesn't cut it for me and my hauling needs.
Looks are in the eye of the beholder, so my opinion is just that.

 

Best looking vehicle out there and you counter with a halo vehicle? So you admit "halo vehicles" look good? Thought you'd be color blind to all that showboat stuff.

Put the Tacoma on the 35s that the AEV Bison has. The market is the hottest it has ever been and each manufacturer has showed up, but the Tacoma is still the winner especially with the multilink rear.


Taco looks far better to me even if the Colorado is the best it has ever been

 

Damn the taco looks good. I hope the bronze looks good in person. Chevrolet’s dark bronze is GROSS in real life. Just straight poop brown unless it’s in direct sunlight.

 

When Toyota has their midrange Tacoma priced like a Halo Chevy vehicle, how could you not look at it?

 

The “midrange” tacoma is ~$61k msrp?

And for the record, yeah a midrange Tacoma is gonna be about 61k with the hybrid. Without hybrid it's already upper 5x,xxx. Since an OR is a midrange Tacoma now.

Both ZR2's are optioned with Moonroofs since no rear slider is available. All safety and convenience packages selected as well.

 

How can you not consider a ZR2 when it it can be had for 3k LESS than the shitty optioned SR5 featured a few pages back?

Only thing that kills me on a ZR2 is payload, but guess what? It's over #100 more than the OR...

 

My point was to throw away your pen and paper, then use a modern smartphone app to track your MPG.

Unless of course you still use a flip phone…
