Yeah, I had a combo in Europe when I lived there and it sucked. Never fully dried the load. Apparently the new ones actually work.

The LG all in ones have good reviews too. I still prefer Speed Queen for washers. I like the TC5 better than the TC7 too.

The older Speed Queen's with the mechanical dials and water level adjustment were the best. They stopped making those in 2016? The TC5 is your best option now. Especially with no lid lock.

Speed Queen *is* the shit. Kind of small, but it's built so we can overload it a little and it's fine. 7 year warranty, too.

So I'm road tripping up to the air force academy in a couple weeks, and I'm getting my truck ready now. I'm gonna do new wiper blades, and I've been told to get the purple washer fluid, but I can't get it in Maricopa County. Does anybody have an in on where to get the purple stuff?

Also, any other tips prepping for the super-cold? I've got chains in the truck already.

I think Amazon can get you sorted. They often sell concentrates with an anti-freezing agent (not antifreeze lol) and/or just straight up jugs. Colorado Springs is a nice town, two of the ex's sisters live there, we went in July though.

Get your battery tested, if it's looking a little weedy think about replacing it. Get an ice scraper and brush combo thingy. Brush any large accumulations of snow off your roof, and scrape the windshield.
And then just don't rev the snot out of your motor until the car is warmed up. Real easy.

I'm a valley transplant so the weather there isn't what I'd call "super-cold," other than driving in snow, you'll be just fine with a good battery and not-frozen wiper fluid.

Hey when do you guys flush your brake fluid out here? The 4Runner is coming up on 3 years old and I just tested the fluid with one of those pens, came back "0% moisture"

Personally if it tests good and visually looks fine, I leave it.

You can buy it in Flagstaff. Also, I highly recommend SilBlades. I bought a set when I bought my truck. Its the only set I've ever bought. Been through many AZ summers, and now a Washington winter.

I think the rainx orange flavor is the low temp stuff actually I'm almost certain.... Drive like you've got an egg under your foot brake/throttle and you should be fine. Turning off traction control might be the right move depending on your comfort zone. Those of us who've come from snowy areas know that tc will nanny you into immobility. Better to hang your ass out a little vs being the dick head making 1/4" of progress at a time.
Don't wrap yourself around any utility poles! We don't need any help making $150+k a year thank you lol.
