Sorry (not sorry). I'm going to post a lot of trash and stats this week. Just block me if you are sick of it.

Since the leagues merged (1970) the 49ers, Cowboys, Steelers, and Patriots have combined for > 1/4 of all playoff wins and > 1/3 of Super Bowl winners. What I find interesting (but not surprising) is how important the QB role is, even on these dominant teams.

Those 4 have a 22-6 Super Bowl record with the following QB's: Staubach, Bradshaw, Montana, Young, Aikman, Brady, and Big Ben. All but Young have multiple rings and all are current or future HOF's, unless you don't think Big Ben will make it (I do).

Those 4 teams also have an 0-6 Super Bowl record with the following QB's: Morten, Eason, O'Donnell, Bledsoe, Kaepernick and Jimmy G.

A big chance this week for Purdy to break the mold .... or .... start his path to be on the top list above.

 

Young has three rings.

Not as starter. He’s fortunate the team was still stacked when his turn came. Can you name the back up QB’s on all those other squads? They also got rings.

 

Steph and Lincecum top the list of undersized icons in Bay Area sport. Brock has a similar vibe to me. All completely different sports & personalities but share the common thread of little guys that could.

 

Keep the stats coming. Interesting predictors like that corgi playing basketball.

 

Alcoholism just sucks. I view alcohol as a poison and avoid it like <cancer water> coke and other useless chemicals.



If need a carb beverage try this with some magnesium powder from Pristine Hydro ... good and healthy !

 

Shiiiiit give me literally any brand of sparkling water and im happy as a two peckered coon hound. Key lime lacroix is my favorite though.

I also don’t play games with drunk driving. Lost my mom and grandma cause a roughneck wanted to drink a handle of liquor on his way home from the rigs.

If all goes as planned, I'll be at a celebrities Superbowl party again as last year. Last year they spent about $40k on the vendors. The best was the BBQ trailer. These dudes brought a smoker trailer the length of a greyhound bus I swear. Some amazing food. Will post some pics.
