    Hi everyone,

I've been using the rough country inline speedo calibrator just fine for 2 years on my 2020 Taco programmed 1:1.1 to account for the 285/75/17s I have on there.
It's been accurate and only one instance in august when it randomly "lost" it's calibration, but rehooking up to a laptop and reflashing it fixed it.

Now all of a sudden it stopped working again (acts as if the calibrator isn't hooked up, or if the ratio is set to1:1). and no amount of reflashing to 1:1.1 or even all the way to 1:2 will make any changes. GPS says 55 when the dash says 50mph.

I have an email out to hypertech but remember they never responded back last time.
anyone else come across this issue before and/or have a remedy?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest software on my laptop straight from hypertech and tried reflashing, but no change.

    thanks

I would check the wires/connectors. Also not sure if they have a small battery in the unit to store the set data. Might be worth popping it open and have a look.

How do you know it stopped working? What are some of the indications? I have been using one trouble free for almost a year.

speed indication was 10% off from GPS, as if there were no inline unit at all. (confirmed by removing it and having the same readout)

i did eventually figure this out, i was "flashing" the unit while it was still plugged into the truck.
while there were no errors and it clearly retained the new settings on the software, it required reflashing out of the truck to start working again.
so seems to be no point in keeping the USB cord attached for easy access.

I am having the same issues and also running the same tire size. I reflashed out of the truck to 1.1 and even 1.2, still no luck. How did you eventually fix it? Did you have to reset it?

Just disconnect the battery if your doing it with a laptop. No need to unplug everything.
