Secondary air injection(any help appreciated)

2013 4.0 prerunner

Air pump does not come on during cold start. I have checked with jumpers and it does work. Checked voltage output at the driver(no voltage.)

I have had codes p0420 and p0430( cat effeciency.) Truck rich and high idle.

Started off with changing ecu due to no start. Have changed: injectors, coil packs, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, maf, ecs, air filter, downstream 02 sensors. Cleaned upstream 02 sensors and checked pcv valve, checked for vacuum leaks.

Would the sais have anything to do with rich on idle? Trucks runs good after blowing all the smoke out of exhaust.

 

Also replaced the gas cap.

 

Unless there are leaks at the SAIS allowing air in to mess with upstream O2 sensor readings then no. You said you cleaned upstream o2... have you replaced them? Have you tested for vacuum leaks of the intake manifold?

 

Ugh dealt with this on my wife's GX, replace the pump with an Amazon one then a lexus one... then the sensor on both sides... then ended up taking it to the dealership and feeling totally defeated only for them to blow the debris out of the lines with compressed air.

 

Hewitt tech makes a delete for the tundra and GX, not sure if someone makes one for the 2nd gen taco but likely worth looking. Extra PITA for no benefit.
