Well used EV prices are low now. GM and Ford messed up somehow.

The big 3 are predisposed to ICE. You would think these companies and corporations that span the globe with sales and supply chain manufacturing would be able to make the few hurdles to build EV/hybrid.

But, big oil must be holding them back the way startups can keep making leaps and bounds over “the establishment”.

Tesla has agreed to pay $1.5 million to settle a lawsuit filed by 25 California counties earlier this week accusing the electric vehicle maker of mishandling hazardous waste at its facilities across the state.

The settlement was approved by Judge Jayne Lee on Thursday in San Joaquin County state court, just two days after the counties sued claiming Tesla improperly labeled waste, like paint materials, used batteries and diesel fuel, at its facilities across the state, and sent hazardous materials to landfills that cannot accept such materials.

    Alternative "facts"

Legacy automakers were asleep at the wheel on EVs and were only surviving when the market for vehicles was severely inflated. This was propped up by tesla having huge price hikes on their cars.

Now that the market cooled tesla brought their prices back to normal and suddenly the legacy automakers are so far from profitable they have to cut production.

Where do you think the anti-ev rhetoric is coming from?

    I'm looking for the interview but someone at Ford said recently...paraphrasing;

"Toyota and the other Japanese automakers did it right. Waiting for the better battery tech and not rushing into EV production"

My neighbor’s husband has one of these, it has no range if it’s fully loaded. He’s always charging it and he’s probably going to get rid of it soon. Amazon in my area are dumping their Rivian electric trucks here for the same reason. They were unloading an entire truck in front of my house into a gasoline powered truck because it literally has no range loaded up. The driver said there’s no good way of predicting it, but if you have a lot of heavy items you’re screwed.

My bad, I looked today. It’s the Ford transit electric version. Maybe the sprinter is better. But the Ford is not very good.

    White vans look the same.

Something like this makes more sense. I would own this.

Yeh, there are even longer range bikes from India and much cheaper and look just as good. Wish these has solid state batteries though.

Tesla owners have been reminded to keep their eyes on the road after videos of drivers wearing Apple's virtual reality headset have gone viral.

Videos posted online show people in the drivers seats of cars which have an autonomous mode, while wearing the Apple headset over their eyes.

Another video, posted on the day the Apple Vision Pro became publicly available, showed a man appearing to get pulled over by the police while wearing the headset in a Tesla.

Apple's user guide warns against using its headset while driving, while Tesla says drivers should always "maintain control and responsibility for your vehicle," even when it is in autonomous mode.

The Apple Vision Pro headset went on sale in the US on 2 February with a $3,499 (£2,749) price tag. There is no release date for it in the UK.

While users can see through the glass in some modes, it would still severely restrict vision while driving.

The company has tried to stay clear of calling it virtual reality or any other similar name, instead referring to it as "spatial computing".

"Don't describe your app experience as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), extended reality (XR), or mixed reality (MR)," it said in a blog post targeting developers.

I guess you cannot buy common sense
