Pretty sure even Jeff Kendall-Weed would be envious of this setup. The side dealio things are dog carriers, or for gear when riding solo.

First time I’m ever seen a rig like this before.

I appreciate this and your points. I was disappointed at the reviews I’ve seen. I thought it looked awesome! And yours does too

I think it will be really fun at the pump track. There are 2 paved pump tracks (Velo Solutions) near my house. I hope to get to them after this "Pineapple Express" storm moves through.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I'll have to give a more comprehensive review once riding season gets to northern Utah.

Just ordered a kit from Ground Keeper. So many sweet designs and coverage is good. MUCH easier to install than any frame kit. Happy with the thickness, install, and look.

Wait.... You Black Gorilla taped your whole bike?!? I mean, I've used it to make a tubeless setup, but never remotely considered it on the frame.
Gotta see this.... Please post a pic!

So during Black Friday I bought some stuff to give different lengths a try. I needed a new BB and a lifetime warranty sounded great. Well to go along with a new 30mm spindle bottom bracket I had to get some 30mm spindle cranks in 160mm flavor..

Also, the low mileage DPS on the 5010 was leaking so it got a new shock as well.

Side note, my bikes rarely get washed.

Is that the Cane Creek IL shock on a V4 5010? I ordered one of those last year but no one could confirm it would fit. I called CC and it wasn't on their definitely will fit list and at first Santa Cruz said it would fit then they came back and said it wouldn't. I ended up canceling the order with CC and picked up a RS SDU which is more shock than I will ever need but it feels nice. CC was super easy to work with.

Haha, not the whole bike. Just the usual spots that see trail damage. Plus spots around the frame where bikepacking bags might wear the paint. I probably wouldn't have used it with a lighter colored frame, but it's not very noticeable on this one until you get up close.

It is the V4, I’ve done like 1 bounce on the bike. It didn’t hit anywhere, but not you’ve got me wanting to definitely double check.

    I recognized the Loosely Blue.

When I was talking with CC they said it wasn’t on their approved list but that didn’t mean it wouldn’t fit. They did some internal checking and no one was sure. My and their high tech google results were also inconclusive, found a couple of random threads that made me think it would work but didn’t 100% say it would. My concern was because the air can is in the tunnel unlike the DPS that came on it.

Man that looks like a lot of fun, and really peaceful as well. Hopefully if you ride like that very often, you’ve got protection? Also what bike light do you like running?

Round 1 of Snake Creek Gap TT yesterday. Last year of the 50 supposedly so some buddies and I figured we’d give I another go after a few years off. Unreal conditions compared to previous years. And those towers, if you know, you know.
