yup but i do agree with what was said above if you are wanting to keep the crf id get a larger bike so its not basically the same thing that also struggles on long distance so id say transalp but for the cost id look for a used t7 or at

+1 for a local dealer pushing CFMoto. I don't have any experience with them but I trust the guy pretty well. They've definitely gotten closer to the big 4 lately, but I still hear my dad saying "you get what you pay for" in the back of my head lol

I keep reading that the T7 carries it's weight fairly high where the Transalp carries it a lot lower. Being short.....that might be an issue for me :D
The weight takes that off my list. I'm trying to start with a sub-500lb'er

I will say, CFMoto is probably one of the better "chinese" brands and its good to have competition - they definitely do look good on paper! Also, for me at least with my bikes (all japanese) *knocks on wood* I rarely have to get bike specific parts and if I do its purchased online, so id imagine it would be no different with CFMoto.

Def not for everyone, big heavy etc, but I love mine. Thats the beauty of motos there is DEFINITELY something for everyone.

2024 Honda XL750 Transalp first ride review - RevZilla

    Just one of the articles

The Transalp is beautifully styled: well proportioned, slim, tall, and yet approachable. It's an attractive machine, borrowing from the classic Transalp look with modern rally bike lines. And when I swung my leg over, I immediately noticed how the weight sat: neither top-heavy like the Ténéré 700 nor low and wide like the KTM 790. The Transalp wears its weight right in the middle, and its narrow profile made it feel remarkably approachable. While a seat height of 33.7 inches may not sound low, I was pleasantly surprised that, at five feet, seven inches tall with a 32-inch inseam, I could easily balance the motorcycle with the balls of my feet on the ground.

Yeah personally id only consider the T7 if I was going to be doing a good chunk of off roading but also wanted the ability to do street in a decent sized capacity... as with anything It seems like the T7 is the best on/offroad compromise bike from the japanese market but will leave you likely wanting more power and better road manners if ridden mostly street, or lighter more nimble if mostly off road.

idk about more power thou my buddy has the ktm 890 and personally hates it. he said its a great bike but the t7 has more character to it where its playful and fun but also great for eating up some miles

This will honestly be more of a road/forest service road camper. If I take the truck camping, I will throw the CRF on the hitch. I want this one so that I could take off and just camp for a day or two in the N GA mountains. I could ride that far on the CRF.......but it just isn't made for interstate travel.

I guess it depends on what you are used to on the road. @72hp I know id be wanting a little more as all my streetbikes have had 100+hp. That stated, if you told me. You HAVE TO GET RID OFF ALL YOUR BIKES (Super tenere for the street, WR450 for the dirt, XT225 for around town) and choose one.

Tenere 700 for sure, and id likely have a smile on my face the entire time riding it.

thats true my buddy has had some large bikes but they were old so not a lot of power where as he started offroad stuff with a drz400 and went from there
ah makes sense then that you want something to go a bit farther out with
