have you ridden a 4 cyl? they're a whole diff beast compared to a twin lol.

i like the sound of twins down low, but I4's up high lol. call me conflicted

yup. bmw feels like a normal bike up until about 8k RPM and then it takes off like a rocket and throttle response is very twitchy. Thing wants to be let loose...requires a responsible wrist lol.

IDK though, the ZX4RR top speed is 150, i think if one is not a speed demon it should be plenty for most?

nope definitely not the only one.

before I stumbled upon the BMW I was pretty much only looking at previous generation R1's since they still had an undertail exhaust

just a couple of things tbh
ya i have ridden a friends zx6r fun bike and fast but to fast for what id want so dont ever want one. i know i wouldnt stop my self from speeding so best to not get one so that doesnt happen plus someone has told me no since she doesnt want me to hurt my self and i agree with her.

i just like the thumpy sounds of twins i do like I4s sound but prefer the thump and rumble sounds of the twins

forgot the r1 had undertail still i wish more companys did it

wish this could get undertail exhaust... but it sadly wont happen lol

Undertail exhaust ftw as far as looks. Never been a fan of down low side exit look (but i get it from performance).

Favorite I4 sound is the crossplane in the yamaha's.... lawwwwddddy *drool*

agreed it looks the best! i get why its not a thing to get more performance but eh it just doesnt always flow with the bike in the other ways.

that is a good sound but id prob say ducati tbh ive always liked the way those bikes have sounded

I can't stand it anymore, my Ducati has one. I keep a full cover on it to try and minimize the noise as much as possible

ah fair enough haha respect for knowing what you need to stay away from lol

boy have I got a picture for you RE: undertails....here's my brother's old R6 he used to win custom shows with.

I'd have to say Ducati wins for me. There's something so throaty about em. R1 is a close second though

I recently discovered that the dry clutch thing is now just an option, that people pay an extra $3k for on most Ducatis? Is this true or did I misundersand?

I like the sound of ALL bikes. My favorite back in the day was the Honda rc51 vtwin.

That was by far the most distinctive. Had a buddy that had one and got Nicky Hayden to sign the tank at Road A

That bike is what caused the AMA to allow liter bikes. It waxed the 750's asses all season.

Back in 2000 I had a 1999 Honda cbr600. I wanted an RC51 real bad. The Honda dealer had one that I could have bought but I chose the CBR929rr instead because of the 2500 price difference and the brick seat and aggressive riding position. It was a lot of money back then. I loved the CBR929rr , turned out to be an awesome machine.
