They feel slightly heavier than the stock wranglers, for sure. I don’t have anything else to compare them to.

Thanks bro, I think it looks nice too. Installing the trail grille as soon as my garnish arrives from taco garage. The bronze in the trail grille matches the scs dark bronze really well. And yes, I’m on stock OR suspension.

Yeah my Falken AT3w in 285s is only 3 pounds heavier per tire at 61lbs, and they are 10 pounds heavier per tire than my last 285 C load.

 

Skinnies on a Toyota 1-ton dually. Aaagh JK.

 

Right now I have LT285/75R16 Falken AT3's. I am so excited to get rid of the rubbing at full stuff. Get rid of the E rating that make my truck feel like a pogo stick going down the road. Also to shed a few pound (although not as much as most would've liked) I am still dropping 6 lbs per tire. I wish I had them at KOH this weekend to try out.

 

Hi y'all. Just put on 255/80/17 wildpeaks AT3W load E on my 2014 (stock sport wheels) and they unfortunately rubbed my JBA upper arms. I ended up installing spidertrax as a bandaid until I figure out wheels and they cleared the UCAs but is now running against my frame lol. Throwing this out there to anyone who is researching, it does look like I'm in the minority but FYI. Running a simple 5100s 885 mid dakar lift as well.

 

I have the exact same issue as well I got JBAs on my regular cab with the sport wheels you got. Its interesting cause sometimes it rubs and sometimes it doesn't. What size spidertrax did you get? I've been debating getting something like half inch hub centeric spacers. The rubbing isn't bad but its there.

 

Got the standard 1.25". It was a good experiment to see whether 0mm offset would rub or not. Here's a pic of the wheel nearly fully locked. I want to say that 0.75" bora spacers might work

Edit: you prob will have to grind down the studs on slimmer spacers based on what I found in my 20 mins of research. I'm assuming this is why spidertrax is only offering their size in 1.25"

FJ wheels or these 4Runner trail/offroad wheels will help the tires clear the UCA and the body mount. Your stock wheels have 30mm offset, and the 4runner wheels are 15mm. So you gain 15mm of UCA clearance while hopefully keeping the tire off the body mount. Basically these wheels put the tire in the sweet spot for less rubbing.

 

JBA’s are known to rub. The area where the ball joint mounts sticks way out.

 

Update, no rubbing!!! Did some minor plastic trimming and am not rubbing around town. CMC gotta happen sometime before I do heavy wheeling

 

Trimming the plastic there, doing cab mount chop, and beating back the pinch weld/plastics inside is common for any kind of offset deeper than stock with 32"+ tires which is what you effectively did with the spacers. You may also get some rubbing on the front of the fender now when going in reverse and turning. I had to trim the plastic rear and the front (havent done the CMC yet though)

Those are very intense looking wheels. Not my vibe, but I can appreciate that they look great with the truck colour and tires. Nicely done!

 

That setup is so close to perfect! If only the barrels were setup for like a 0 offset or something. That tire size fits SO well on a 7" wheel. Really is a shame all the modern aftermarket stuff is so damn wide.
