Order some ammo online and have it shipped to a friends house? Try it, might work? My Ranchita buddy lives on the road behind the Fire Station.

You can currently get ammo shipped to your door now FYI.

Rhode v Bonta declared unconstitutional on Thurs this week. Stay was denied as well. Get your freedom seeds while you can.

Can confirm. Made two orders. PSA and Trueshot.

I was wrong. I hiked down that road, about half a mile, in 2006 to locate a geocache. The hider was a border patrol agent that has since become a friend. He says the gate is locked, but the fire road is public accessible. If the gate is open, it is due to a work crew from CDF or SDGE. They will lock it when they leave, so best not to drive in if the gate is open. It doesn't go through anyways. I’ve been to the other end, also to locate a geocache, where there are locked gates at N32 34.693 W116 45.798 and N32 35.029 W116 45.531 (copy/paste in google maps). Never ventured westward along the border fence, so there may be a way out that way. I am up for a mtn bike adventure!

Good to know! Thanks dude. Haha well if we get locked out, there's always a route to Otay mt. How rough, I'm not sure. I know their not happy with folks strolling down the fence road at the moment and with the influx of crossings, I'll think I'll wait till the situation calms down. I don't know if anyone has been to Jacumba lately but it's a perfect example of how much of a shit show it is near the fence.

Damn thats fking INSANE! That's a whole lotta cash to have someone just bail after getting the money in hand.
The level of rage that would be involved would be astronomical!!

On a brighter note I've got my stroker crankshaft installed in my freshly machined Aluminum LS block and honed out to the new size. I also gapped the rings for boost, made them on the looser side to avoid damage if I end up turning up the boost and we all know damn well it's gonna happen!

Ill be putting the pistons on the rods with the ultra BEEFY new piston pins using spiral locks (those damn things are a PITA) and then plugging them all in so I have a complete shortblock by late tonight ready for me to check the Piston to valve clearance before I know what thickness MLS head gaskets to order so I can keep the compression as high as possible. However since I have decked the block and the heads I have to be careful and measure so things dont try and play patty cake at high RPMs, lol.

Now my issue with the truck is still trying to figure out how to make it into an AWD setup so I can actually put the power down and go fast. 2wd just aint gonna cut it.
I was looking at using the GM stuff from a Bravada or Astrovan since they utilized an AWD system (not the same as 4wd) but the issue with that is the diff sits on the same side as the steering shaft on the Tacoma so that is a bit of a hangup.
Was thinking about trying to use the AWD 00-01ish era 4Runner stuff but since I have a 5 lug they chassis are different, but I can always cut and weld to build whatever I need.
Ill still have to check fitment and bounce it around in my brain for a while so I can figure something out, I have to make this happen eventually. I really want this truck to be super quick and with 2wd thats not gonna happen unless I totally set it up for dragracing and then the truck will handle like ass and nobody wants that!

Ha, I don't think I want to warm up more than once on something like this. It is going to be a bit tricky, sure I could just get an S10 and do it to that but I think they are kinda ugly..

I'm trying to fit an awful lot of stuff into a small area, 1st gens are pretty dang compact especially in comparison to the 2/3 gen.

And now It's raining really hard again so I had to come back up the house and hide. while trying to keep the flooding issues at bay inside and outside the house, Im jackhammering the DG behind my kitchen to create an area lower than the floor for water to collect then to a reservior with a brown water pump on a float switch, didn't do it last year so now it's necessary with so much rain at once like this!

I am curious about the state of all the materials he has staged in the creek bed to shore it all up.

I should probably put on my lock nuts back on. I take them off when I go off-roading so it’s one less thing to worry about if I get a flat on the trail. Took them off last year and been lazy about putting them back on.

I get that. I carry my lock. But honestly, are wheel locks actually that big of a deterrent? I feel like a pro would have no issue cutting it off or make their own key. :notsure:
