Original clutch, water pump, wheel bearings, fuel pump and starter. Impressive!

Im only at 80k lm… I’m averaging about 15k a year so it will take me ~40 years to get to 600k km. Haha

It’s kinda crazy to think of just how much distance that truck has traveled. I feel like I drive a lot and I’m only doing 20-25K miles a year by comparison. At this rate it will take me 14-15 years to reach where OP is. That’s a long time of driving at my current rate which is still significantly higher than average.

It’s also kinda nuts to think things like the diff aren’t leaking. If my math is right that pinion has turned over a billion rotations by now. Hope most of us have the same luck and hope the truck goes many more miles! Curious to see what happens with the cyl #2 valve as even more miles get put on it.

The 2nd genners are out towing things with their truck engine while bigoldbeef hauls groceries and kids with the minivan engine. :D

And most of its life it’s been carrying loads and towing heavy. Good ol’ Tacoma man :)

I honestly doubt 4G Tacomas will see this kind of mileage without some major failure. I could be very wrong though…

Crazy mileage. Based on the previous 5 yrs usage…It would take me over 80yrs to hit that number on my 19.

Totally agree. Great example of a daily use work truck. It hasn't been babied and has lots of extra added weight and tows. Love the original OEM mud flaps. Also, hasn't left him stranded.

In reality It's always a crap shoot with any vehicle. A certain level of luck is also helpful too. But Toyota's tend to trend on the QDR side for sure.

    -Always runs 0-W20 engine oil.
-Always does scheduled oil/fluid changes on time.
    -Regular maintenance for wearable items.

@bigoldbeef Thanks for sharing with the YT creator. Yes, may this 3rd gen go beyond 400K miles and more!

Yes, you are correct. I've adjusted my post. In my 57 year old brain it was always 5-W30. Lol....

Yeah, being a Toyota I have to give the 4th gen the benefit of the doubt and say this will be just as good or even better than the previous generations of Tacoma's. Time will tell.

I’m hopeful the 4G will be better than 3G. It’s not really much more complex - yeah there’s a turbo but nothing says they have to fail early. Obviously the motor is under some pretty constant stress, but I have faith Toyota built it for that. With it being a smaller motor I’m hopeful it’s easier to work on And no dumbness like composite crossover pipes since an inline motor only has the one cylinder head…nothing to crossover.

Smaller timing cover as well so maybe less chance for leaks depending on how they designed the junction of the cover, head and block. That’s where all the V6’s leak. Time will tell.

I’m sure the 4 banger will be fine. It’s all this turbo BS I’m unsure about.

I’ve never owned a turbo vehicle so what do I know. Well actually my mom drove a manual WRX till she was about 65 by the way haha, and she had zero turbo issues in about 10 years she had that car. That car did not have high mileage, like maybe 80k when she sold it.

I drove it quite a few times, it was fun for 5-10 mins but driving a low car is just not my thing anymore. When I was in my early 20s, sure.
