    Wow… She is perfect.

I would trade in my truck for that tomorrow. No joke.

Even if they only offered gas engines such as 3.4, 3.5 or the 4.0.

Because they don’t make money selling old man tacos. :)

I had to have a DC and MT. The “lowest” trim in that configuration in Canada was a TRD sport with leather and sunroof. They know crazy guys like me will still buy it.

I would’ve been perfectly happy with black DC MT SR taco with cloth seats.

I mean when I drop my kid off at Chinese school I really wanna look like I’m about to drive off the road into the woods and camp off the land for three days while professionally recording all of my adventures for my social media channels.

Yeah… originally I’m from Europe (Latvia), so a pick up was a super rare sight from what I remember. A lot of different kind of vans though.

When I came here I started seeing pick ups everywhere and thought to myself “that’s kind of dumb”. Then it just so happened that my first vehicle was Mazda b2200 and afterwards I just fell in love with the idea of a pick up. Super versatile machine.

Never been to Asian countries. Mexico twice and shopped in Washington once like 10 years ago and that’s it. I did hear nice things about Thailand and Japan though.

500lbs lighter, not 300lbs heavier. Narrower, not wider. Simple interior with a small dash integrated display.

That 4x4 sticker needs to be bigger!

At one point my dad owned “Latvija” van and it was the biggest POS in the world. Can see “conveniently” placed gear shifter. :)

Soviet cars were and still are absolute garbage.

Hahaha you may be the ONLY member of TW with this opinion. I have been on TW since my 2nd gen days and EVERYONE bitched about the 3rd gen drum brakes, archaic leaf springs, anemic "minivan" V6, garbage halogen headlights, and poverty level SR with no interval wipers/fog lights/keyless entry. NO ONE EVER said they liked the drum brakes and laughed at/ridiculed Sweers for daring to place them back on the 3G.

Over at the Tundra forum there are threads about "Can I replace the crappy analog gauge cluster with the really cool digital one?" and "Can I change the puny 8" screen for the cool 14" one?"

4th gen ticked all of the boxes that a decade of Taco owners were pissing and moaning about, and guess what? Even MORE pissing and moaning!!

    Fascinating and entertaining.

I literally have a poverty level SR in my driveway right now.

I bought a poverty regular cab 4x4 over a decade ago to use as my daily driver in Kauai.

I’m with PendulumRC on that one.

Zero interest in all this new technology bullshit. MT and power windows is all I need. Base DC SR MT would have been awesome.

Not bashing the "poverty level" buyers, just saying that this forum is FULL of threads about "how do I un-poverty my ride", telling me that most peeps are NOT happy with the lack of bling features.

Lol, well the last truck I had was a poverty level Frontier, and before that, an old regular cab Nissan Hardbody with a bench seat. So I’m good with basic.

You are not wrong at all. That’s why 4G Tacoma is what it is.

Give me 80 series land cruiser and I’ll be happy as pig in shit.

My 2007 Mazda b4000 interior was extra poverty level. Absolutely Loved it.

That’s awesome! My very first truck was a Mazda, I think it was a B2200 or something back in ‘90. They were great little trucks.

    :fistbump:

My first vehicle was 1990 Mazda b2200. I was in high school and had so much fun with that little truck. Had to be careful though, 90 HP was nothing to sneeze at.:)

Lol! That was me exactly. High school and then to college in that little truck. Moved a lot of furniture with it. Cheers!
